Your Nominations For Greatest Rock 'n Roll Tune Ever...

Had a fight with my GF over this..but I had to point out that once they stopped playing the "Muzak" version of these songs..I was like "Man, this is great!"

sorta reminds me of when, some few years ago, Cadillac came out with ads backed by music from Led Zeppelin...

a real WTF moment...

Caddy's at that time were favored only by white-belted geezers like my dad and "players" in the darker neighborhoods...

GM has since apparently successfully rebranded Cadillac to appeal to the younger white happ'nin' folks with lots of disposable income...

so... anyhow... what's the best rock 'n roll...?

is it sumpin' you can dance to...? I believe it's gotta be like that...

is it sumpin' you can trip out to on your sofa while bein' stoned out high as a kite...? I believe it's gotta be that too...

here's another tune that, imho, fits the bill...

Ladies and gentlemen,

Let me introduce you to the MAN who truly invented Rock n Roll.

Long story short. I grew up in the Disco era and loved everything on the radio... from Zeppelin, to the Bee Gees, to Hendrix and Arlo Guthrie. But something snapped in my mind about 25 years ago and I've never gone back. I turned away from all the classic rock and moved forward.

So I won't be posting any the OBVIOUS best rock classics (obvious based on popularity), such as Stairway to Heaven or Freebird (which someone already posted).

How about this one..

I love that old Zebra song. But much like black and white movies, the old stuff just doesn't isn't enough for me anymore and I mean no offense.

Has anyone heard this song or seen the nice, new, yet old school video? Good stuff here... and that's rare in this day. Dig the crazy drummer and the female bassist! Awesome....

Somehow this song makes me want to take heroin.. though I've never tried it.

Here's one my friends and I went nuts over a long time ago. Good old Glamour Rock.. what I remember of those years is blurred by a thick fog.... I'm lucky I'm alive and not in prison.

Ozzy was hands down my favorite back in the day. Randy Rhoads was classically trained and far and away the best guitarist of his era. (that's right, I said it)

One of the best rock guitar pieces I ever heard starts at about 2:30 in this little known beauty.

This one is a legitimate contender for best ever, IMO. Tragic story of a couple (a la Romeo & Juliet) so in love that they decide it's best to die together in hopes to never be separated.
