You Gave Facebook Your Number For Security. They Used It For Ads.
Add “a phone number I never gave Facebook for targeted advertising” to the list of deceptive and invasive ways Facebook makes money off your personal information. Contrary to user expectations and Facebook representatives’ own previous statements, the company has been using contact information that users explicitly provided for security purposes—or that users never provided at all—for targeted advertising.

So back in the days when ppl weren't dumbasses they knew better than to use their real face as their avatar we all knew they were gathering it up for NSA data collection storing them all in the data systems. Why do you think websites want your photo ID's now it is not to make sure it's you dumbasses. It is to gather your bioetrics.
Some are a little to low on the IQ chart to still figure that out.

Well now they've damanded a number for the same dam thing to track you, sell your number and who in the hell do you think your number is reggistered too the name, the face, the address........ oh the deeper into the rabbit hole you go the more you will realize it wasn't fake information after all.
