You Anti-Collective Bargaining people with your agenda begun with your legislative initiatives in Wisconsin and Ohio are opening a Pandora’s box with the “anger” you will be unleashing among public workers and their families when the results of your efforts begun to be really felt by these individuals, it is guaranteed you won’t like the results! The one major issue that surprisingly does not seem to be resolved on this whole subject is that the “collective bargaining right” is a natural, fundamental right. They are just like the right to free speech, the right to have a say in who governs you (vote)! This phony debate that the “collective bargaining” right is a privilege not a right is without merit. A privilege is a permission to drive a car or a permission to hunt with a gun, the “collective bargaining” right is not permission like these it is a much more serious permission. A right, like free speech, right to vote, privacy rights, etc. is a permission or a protection that is not only important but integral to living (that is human life). The right of “collective bargaining” is integral to human life, because it is integral to a person’s job (who works under a collective bargaining agreement) and a job is essential to human life it enables a person to buy food, clothing, shelter, medical care, etc.. A collective bargaining right is integral to a person’s job (who has a collective bargaining agreement) because it is integral in determining wages, benefits, working conditions and conditions of termination and due to the nature of the management/worker relationship it is necessary to allow the worker to have such permission to join with his or her coworker to obtain fair terms on these listed aspects of a job – remember unless you have a collective-bargaining agreement essentially management has all the power they can set the wages, benefits, working conditions, terms of termination as “they so chose”. A worker is either a worker under a “contract for a term” or an “at will” employee and most workers that don’t work under a “collective bargaining” agreement are “at will” employees which means they practically have no power there is a huge imbalance of power in favor of management in these relationships and the right of “collective bargaining” gives the worker a fair chance to get fair terms of employment and it is the only reality that exists that can give a worker that fair chance!

If the right wing of the Republican Party keeps up with their agenda here to take away workers right to “collective bargain” they are going to cause a backlash in America which will result in the American people amending the constitution to expressly provide such a right in the constitution. This right is so important to enough working Americans that it will surely happen and in the process Republican candidates will lose many elections over the matter!

The individual politicians behind these legislative initiatives taking away “collective bargaining” rights aren’t thinking to clearly. The clever designs of these legislative bills in Wisconsin and Ohio will offer no protection to these politicians, these bills are taking away public workers right to “collectively bargain” that is the bottom line. Governor Scott Walker and Governor John Kasich will be forever linked with these bills if they become law in their respective states and they will be held fully responsible along with leaders in their respective legislature. It may not happen immediately but eight to ten years down the road when the full effects of taking away these workers rights is fully felt I fear some hurt worker will take a gun and shoot one of these responsible parties! This writer does not advocate such violence, this writer is a staunch believer that good Americans work within the system to bring about change, resorting to violence is un-American. Nevertheless, history in America has shown when workers are hurt bad they sometimes don’t think rationally and at times they have resorted to violence, that is why it has been written that these “anti-collective bargaining” people are opening a “Pandora’s box” with their actions here!

Yes, we know the left plans to cause violence since their targets aren't taking the bait to force a revolution and turn this nation into a socialist state.

It's been their modus operendi for more than a century.

Why should public service employees who work for a State have a different level of protection than those who work for the Federal Government?

Also, what about the states that have Right To Work Laws? No one is revolting in them?

Looks like JIm is a Flee Bagger too. His little green light went out..:(

Frankly, I'd like to see the unions and their idiot members relegated to the trash heap with all the other bad rubbish.

Certainly a lot of violence in WI these last few weeks, wasn't there..?

No...they just completely fizzled out just a day or so after Micheal Moore came into town calling for the huge worker revolt.

I keep hearing liberals trying to warn conservatives that there will be consequences at the booth. If this were true liberals wouldnt be saying anything at all. They want conservatives out of office why would they care.

Not there yet. This was promises of violence yet to come.

Being loudmouth assholes demanding entitlements is not violence... yet.

We'll see after the law is implemented. I still remember the RNC convention of 2008.

Poop bombs? Bombs made with poop. You heard that right. Part of the equipment being assembled by the RNC Welcoming Committee, a radical leftwing protest group.

Are there radical rightwing protest groups or political action groups that riot, throw poop and make spiked clubs? I can't think of one.

Actually when the tax payer sees the debt go down, more people will be happy The one major issue that surprisingly does not seem to be resolved on this whole subject is that the “collective bargaining right” is a natural, fundamental right. No it is not. This is a blatant lie. That or you are a fool. They are just like the right to free speech, the right to have a say in who governs you (vote)! Not even close. Free speach is for each American. Unions are not people, just like corporations are not people. This phony debate that the “collective bargaining” right is a privilege not a right is without merit. That's b/c it is not a right and there is no debate. A privilege is a permission to drive a car or a permission to hunt with a gun, the “collective bargaining” right is not permission like these it is a much more serious permission. Wrong. You do not have the right to bargin for my money when I have no say in how much of my money you get. A right, like free speech, right to vote, privacy rights, etc. is a permission or a protection that is not only important but integral to living (that is human life). The right of “collective bargaining” is integral to human life, because it is integral to a person’s job (who works under a collective bargaining agreement) You can bargain for yourself. Therefore, collective bargaining is bs. and a job is essential to human life it enables a person to buy food, clothing, shelter, medical care, etc.. You have no right to a job either. They own the business you work in, so yeah, they can fire your lazy ass. In the public sector they are supposed to rep the people, so if you screw up or are not needed, you need to be fired or laid off.
Worker;I work harder than the rest. I want a raise.
Boss; no
Worker; I will get a job with the competition
Boss; CRAP, ok how much do you want?
Worker; X
Boss; can't afford X. How about x and we will toss in y.
Worker; hmm. How about x and toss in Y.
Boss; Deal
worker/Boss; *shake hands*

If the right wing of the Republican Party keeps up with their agenda here to take away workers right to “collective bargain” still not a right.they are going to cause a backlash in America which will result in the American people amending the constitution to expressly provide such a right in the constitution. You need to find a new dope dealer. I think you got a bad batch. This right is so important to enough working Americans that it will surely happen and in the process Republican candidates will lose many elections over the matter! Not when the debt goes down. I have noticed that Dems are unwilling to take hits to themselves to save the whole country though.

The individual politicians behind these legislative initiatives taking away “collective bargaining” rights aren’t thinking to clearly. Liberal civility at it's finest. This writer does not advocate such violence, this writer You are not a writer. Most likely you got this at the Huffpo meeting this morning. or at Moveon. is a staunch believer that good Americans work within the system to bring about change, resorting to violence is un-American. Nevertheless, history in America has shown when workers are hurt bad they sometimes don’t think rationally and at times they have resorted to violence, that is why it has been written that these “anti-collective bargaining” people are opening a “Pandora’s box” with their actions here!

what's with all the socialist/communist coming to USMB? There was another one yesterday.

Hey Jim; Who do you work for?

Why is the symbol of communism, socialism and the AFL-CIO the "Clenched Fist"?

Of course. A left winger warns of the anger about to be unleashed by the left if they don't get what they want.

History shows this is true. Examples of other left wing governments whose anger was unleashed:

USSR
Red China
Russia
North Korea
Cuba
Venezuela
Nat'l Socialist Party of Germany
Axis Italy
Cuba
Burma
Vietnam

Just to name a few.

Yes, the left wing is extremely prone to violence when they don't get their way.

Remember, MODERN liberalism is defined as the pursuit of equality. Now, to have total equality, something must be taken from some and given to others. Humans don't take that well. Therefore, the only way to fulfill the liberal dream is a central, overpowering use of force by the government. Which is why full bloom left wing ideology in government is seen in massive left wing governments like that of the former USSR. Only overwhelming use of force or threat of force can accomplish the liberal dream.

But we have checks and balances in the USA that may prevent that. A president can't declare martial law that easily, and police don't have to follow unconstitutional orders.

To achieve the ultimate liberal dream here, a president would need something else, like a National Civil Defense Corp. And we've NEVER had a president call for that...............right?

This phony debate that the “collective bargaining” right is a privilege not a right is without merit.

This whole idea of “rights” is really a brain dead concept.

The right to establish a government supported labor cartel has no rational behind it other than a play on words to sway emotions.

I wish I have the same confidence in that happening that you do.

But the PEOPLE do not get to change the constitution...the MASTERS bought and paid for representitives do.

Far as I can tell the average American has no representatives in Congress.

Well, maybe Bernie Sanders but he's pretty much theexception that proves the rule.

Anti-Unionism is a trend in American politics that is now over one generation old, and show no signs of abating.

So I'd say it will take at least another generation before the collective frustration of the working class reaches that point where unions will start doing what it really takes to win back their rights.

I'll be pushing daisys by then, of course, so this might be my son's generation's battle, or perhaps his sons.

Jim, put down whatever questionable substance you're ingesting, and listen. First of all, there is NO "right to bargain collectively" under the Constitution of the United States, which is the sole authority for what "rights" people do and don't have in America. You are aware, I hope, that that territory known as Pennsylvania is a part of the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction of said constitution; and I presume that you also know that the States of Wisconsin and Ohio are part of the United States and therefore also subject to the jurisdiction of the same.

Second, you as much as admit the Constitution of the United States grants NO "right to bargain collectively" when you threaten that passage of these bills "will result in the American people amending the constitution to expressly provide such a right in the constitution". IF the Constitution grants any such right, you wouldn't need to amend it, and if it doesn't, then you have no such "right" at present. Hence the legislatures of Wisconsin, Ohio, and any other state(s) have a lawful right to enact the proposed legislation, whether you, the union, or your political allies like it or not. In spite of the ignorance demonstrated by your inconsistent verbal defecations above, I believe you know this, which is why you also make implied implied threats of violence and revolution resulting later.

Third, I live in a right to work state, and the workers here haven't ever had a closed union shop. They have yet to riot over it, much less start a revolt, so I think one can deduce that these workers find the lack of a "right to bargain collectively" considerably less of an inconvenience than you do. Why, they haven't even tried to amend the STATE constitution to create such a "right" for themselves; imagine that! As far as the "Revolution" idea goes, your dope-smoking progenitors threatened the same back in the sixties; never happened. They, and I suspect, you, couldn't foment a successful revolution in the lowliest, two-bit banana republic on earth, much less here.

Now, unless you have something more to add, (besides verbal flatus) go chill out, accept the will of the majority, and find something more educational to read than the Huffy Puffy Post; who knows, you might even learn enough to hold a real job where your work is of sufficient value for you to ask your boss for a raise, and have some chance of getting one.

What are you talking about? Violence is as American as apple pie. Go and tell that nonsense to the Indians! When Lincoln wanted Americans to fight in the War of Northern Aggression, he executed those who refused to serve. When legislatures wanted to vote to stay out of the war, he attacked and ran them off while jailing newsmen and burning news papers to the ground. When the U.S. could not get its way it invavded dozens of countries, but violence is not American. Yeah, right!

Then I can decide on my own to go to them. No lazy I'm boycotting just because you are a WASP or whatever here.

But, seeing all these military interventions, how can one say violence is not the American way? Our national anthem is even about war.
