If Trump has been advised by DHS and others that there is no need to lift the Jones Act and FEMA and other agencies are rocking their faces off getting aid to PR and the US Virgin Islands why should I dispute the experts? I do question the Jones Act itself.

And as far as I've read Trump is still considering giving the waiver from an article in Business Insider reported only a few hours ago.

President Donald Trump said he is considering giving Puerto Rico a Jones Act waiver, but he is weighing pressure from the maritime industry.

An obscure, 1920 shipping law might be crippling Puerto Rico even more — and Trump is under pressure to take action

Personally I'd like this answer to the issue. This seems to be the most sensible answer.
