This was obviously going to be the result in new Hampshire. They are full of junkie liberals and the live free or die state is just a slogan. If you think this vote means anything about the country you are not very bright

You know Joe, at one time I agreed with you that the reason for "The Bern" doing so well there was because he was from a neighboring state. Some of it still may be true, but the facts say that in NH, at one time AFTER Bernie threw his hat in the ring, she had a 40 point lead over him and Omalley.

So yes, maybe he won by what 20 points or so, and the neighbor effect did add to it somewhat, but any more than 5 points would be kind of stretching it I think.

Still think Hilly is in the drivers seat, but without more enthusiasm the DNC may very well change drivers.

I don't think so. Hillary will easily win SC. This isn't like Obama in 2008, where the establishment was mostly okay with him upending Hillary. You are going to see the regular Democratic candidates getting out the vote for her.

With Trump and Sanders Win, Are We Seeing a Full Scale Revolt in America?

Yes.

People are tired of being lied to about what govt is doing, tired of the govt controlling the economy more and more and making it worse, tired of govt taking over health care and making it worse, tired of the govt changing foreign relations and making them worse, tired of govt degrading our own armed forces, changing their missions and making them worse.

Trump, Sanders (and Cruz) are very believable when they'll say they will change all that. Whether they actually can change them for the better, remains to be seen.

But yes, we're seeing the beginnings of a revolt. Nothing like the one they had in 1776, but we're moving steadily closer.
Bernie Sanders is telling everyone he's going to break up the banks, giving everyone the false impression that the banks are the reason for all of the corruption in Washington.

Hogwash.

He's nothing more than a communist using populist jargon to win an election. His support comes mostly from kids that don't know anything and don't trust Hillary. They are easy pickings.

I don't think we are seeing a revolt. I think we are seeing New Hampshire once again taking advantage of their early status to do something crazy.

Trump has an advantage because Most Americans can't tell you the difference between Keynesian and Supply Side economics, most Americans can't name their senators, but they can sure as hell tell you who was on American Idol or Survivor or The Bachelor.

Bernie has the advantage of being from a neighboring state.

Now, these two could be the nominees of their party. If that happens, watch for Bloomberg to hop in.

Most Americans don't think Hillary is trustworthy.

In 1992, most Americans didn't think Bill Clinton was trustworthy.

20% of Republicans think Barack Obama is a Muslim.

Sometimes...people believe things that aren't true.

I agree with you LL, but is that not the essence of politics? Sad, but true! It is easier to convince someone that their person stinks, than convince them your person is great. It works twice as well for undecideds.

I don't like it, you probably don't like it, but that is politics. Just use this board as a microcosm. How many POSITIVE threads do you see, singing the praises of their candidate? 85% or more, are about attacking the other side. Why? Because it works.

Hmmmmm.

At this point Americans will lose no matter who wins.
I mean seriously....Trump as President...good God. Hillary the elitist/corporatist?? Sanders the taxman... we lose with any of these three

Let's look at the primaries through and including Super Tuesday, March 1st:

Nevada
South Carolina
Alabama
Alaska
Arkansas
Colorado
Georgia
Massachusetts
Minnesota
North Dakota
Oklahoma
Tennessee
Texas
Vermont
Virginia
Wyoming

Does anyone seriously believe Sanders is going to win in states such as Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Oklahoma, or Texas – as for Trump, he may win a few more states, but he'll have the same trouble with Christian fundamentalists and the social right as he did in Iowa, in addition to larger, more diverse blue states turned off by his arrogance and bigotry.

And again, this is just through March 1st, on March 15th the following primaries take place:

Florida
Illinois
Missouri
North Carolina
Ohio

These are large, diverse states, which is why by the end of March we'll see a completely different primary landscape, and understand why Iowa and NH are completely irrelevant.

Yea, once the blacks start voting for the very person, Hillary Clinton, who will continue to keep them in the ghetto. Biden's Keeping you in chains comes to mind, but he was accusing the wrong party

Uh, dude, did you not pay attention? The banks ARE the reason for all the corruption in Washington.

Maybe you didn't notice this cashing all the checks the government issues to you when you are ranting about the government.

I'm sort of mortified that Bernie is being taken seriously at this point, but much like Trump, the politicians have no one to blame but themselves.

I love when some white cracker tell black folks what they ought to think instead of trying to find out what htey really think. It's so cute!

Trump and Sanders win: We are witnessing a full scale revolt, America | Fox News

To my mind, Tuesday night’s results show that there are finally politicians who understand how marginalized, disenfranchised and betrayed a majority of Americans feel. It’s both Republicans and Democrats, including the 42 percent of Americans who now identify as independent because they think the two parties don’t represent their values and positions.
We are seeing a full scale rejection of the political establishment. This is a threat that we did not take seriously enough over the past few years, as evidenced by the fact that most rejected Trump as a clown and a joke. His ideas on illegal immigration and placing a temporary ban on Muslims ruffled our national feathers even though a majority of Republican primary voters agreed with him. That’s how out of touch our political class has become.
Indeed, 46 percent of GOP voters say they feel betrayed by Republican politicians. Trump won 32 percent of that group.
We did the same thing to Bernie Sanders who began this race upwards of 50 points behind Hillary Clinton. We said a socialist could never win. And he may not be able to win a national election, but we are seeing an electorate so starved for an honest and trustworthy politician that they will make allowances for ideologies that they may not have considered before.
Sanders has argued about oligarchy and money in politics and has been his whole career. He doesn’t flip flop or evolve on his advocacy for the average American.
Sanders is just Bernie Sanders. And Donald Trump is just Donald Trump.
We are living in a time when trust in Americans institutions has collapsed. A recent Pew survey shows that less than 20 percent of Americans trust the government always or most of the time. And a CNN poll showed that 60 percent think the American Dream is unachievable today.....

I think you're seeing angry, ignorant people on the left wing, and angry, ignorant people on the right. That's what you saw in the New Hampshire vote.

The candidates that they support Bernie Sanders/Donald Trump don't have solutions to this countries problems, they just stoke the fire of anger.

On CNN--the least important issue on these voters minds tonight was electability. They didn't care if Bernie Sanders or Donald Trump could win the White House, they wanted to make a statement.

Will Democrats and Republicans wake up tomorrow and change course?
Probably--because ultimately all the ranting and raving in the world isn't going to cut it, if you nominate a candidate that can't win the White House.

Angry, yes. Ignorant? Maybe just tired of the politics as usual, and of politicians who work for the billionaire donor class that funds their elections.

Kinda like sideshow Joe telling blacks they're going to be put back in chains if a republican is elected?

Please name the candidates who are proposing campaign finance reform and a repeal of Citizens United.

If the candidate you support doesn't do those two things......you are just blowing hot air.

REALITY: Bernie Sanders Accomplished Almost NOTHING WHILE SERVING FOR YEARS

February 9, 2016

Based on the way leftists are rallying around Bernie Sanders, you would think he has an impressive resume but the reality is that during his years in congress he got very little done.

Frontpage Mag reports:

Bernie Sanders Only Passed 3 Bills, 2 Renamed Post Offices

Bernie Sanders keep shrieking that we need a “POLITICAL REVOLUTION”. But what has America’s Greatest Progressive since Sinclair Lewis been doing in his sinecure in the House and Senate?

Mainly renaming Vermont post offices. At least renaming Vermont post offices more than anything else.

Bernie Sanders co-sponsored three bills that passed. One of them was “A bill to designate the facility of the United States Postal Service located at 35 Park Street in Danville, Vermont, as the “Thaddeus Stevens Post Office”.”

Thaddeus Stevens was a member of the Anti-Catholic Know Nothing Party who became a Republican. His class warfare politics led him to make at least one anti-Semitic remark.

But Bernie Sanders also kept busy by co-sponsoring a bill to “designate the facility of the United States Postal Service located at 1 Marble Street in Fair Haven, Vermont, as the “Matthew Lyon Post Office Building”.

all of it here:
