Obama was no businessman, and the US business sector created 10 million new jobs while the public sector jobs fell to their fewest in several decades. The manufacturing jobs are gone because both parties permitted that to happen. They will not come back.

There are only two things that would ever make America like it was years ago: one is for the American consumer to change their priorities. As long as "cheap" is the most important consideration in our purchases, then manufacturers will cater to our demands. Secondly is a tax on automation. Automation is responsible for more job losses in America than outsourcing. Even Wendy's and McDonald's are turning to automation to reduce their labor force. In the long run, it's cheaper to buy kiosks and machines to do the work than face obstacles like Obama Care and the push for much higher minimum wage.
