Take for example the recent actions by Senate Democrats concerning who should fill president-elect Barack Obamas vacant seat.
On January 3, The Chicago Sun-Times reported that Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) told Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich back in November that he didnt want Jesse Jackson, Jr., Danny Davis, or Emil Jones - black men all - appointed as Obamas successor. Instead, Reid recommended two white women: Illinois Veterans Affairs chief Tammy Duckworth and Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan.
Will Obama finally define racism as an abhorrent behavior performed by anyone irrespective of party affiliation, or is that too much to ask?
Despite the obvious racial component, there was no media outrage concerning this matter. Quite the contrary, few press outlets even bothered to report it.
Contrast that with what would have transpired if the GOP controlled the Senate and a white Republican majority leader told the corrupt Illinois governor not to appoint a black man for this position instead pressuring him to pick a white woman.
Yet, these same media outlets last year were quick to label as racist virtually anything said about Obama by the McCain campaign:
If the campaign referred to domestic terrorist Bill Ayers, that was racist.
If the campaign referred to Rev. Jeremiah Wright, that was racist.
If the campaign referred to Obamas middle name, that was racist.
If the campaign showed pictures of former Fannie Mae CEO Franklin Raines in an ad, that was racist.
If the campaign showed pictures of Paris Hilton and Britney Spears in an ad, that was racist.
If the campaign showed a picture of an old white woman in an ad, that was racist.
As America prepares for the inauguration of its first black President, an inconvenient truth dogs the country: Democrats are treated far differently than their Republican counterparts when race is involved.

how can you quote media outlets crying racism as an example that media outlets don't cry racism? I am confused!
p.s. googling news articles for reid+burris+racism returns many many many hits in the media declaring reid racist. .

I looked through quite a few of the articles, I didn't find any where the media claimed or hinted that Reid was racist.
Also, note that there were not any articles by the AP. Don't you find that odd, considering the AP has about a gazillion articles about how great the democrats are?
Sounds like we are seeing them differently! I'd say the whole discussion is about race now, instead of anything important. (Like how totally incompetent and disingenuous Burris sounds every time he opens his mouth) Seems like the media is preying on racism to me!

Well hell - what's so surprising about racism on the left? They elected a racist president for gawd's sake!
The guy sat in a church that teaches Marxism (Black Liberation theology) with thousands of cheering racists and America haters for twenty years. He even took his children to be exposed to this church filled with racists.
The question is not whether it will end, but whether liberals can even recognize their own racism. From the response on this thread the answer is obviously no.
