CDZ Why was the fully automatic firing system banned?

Bullshit. New old stock parts are readily available for any firearm you can think of. Ebay is even a great source for firearms parts: If I have a firearm that's not worth restoring or would cost too much to restore, I part the damned thing out and sell the parts on Ebay for pretty good money. I can pick up junk guns at garage sales for around $20 and make a couple hundred dollars off the parts alone.
Irrelevant... They become less numerous all the time according to your own stats... They are already well regulated. End of story.

So if that are already "well regulated", what's your problem with any law-abiding citizen owning them?

Likewise, if there are already laws on the books which disqualifies criminals from purchasing firearms, what makes you think that additional laws would also work?
The regulation that is good is that they are no longer produced for civilians and are no longer a threat d u h.

Obviously the laws need more teeth d u h. Something is really wrong with your brains, dupes.

They never were a threat....duh. The gangsters stole them from the cops, and the military, but they rarely did anything to the civilian population with them. Most criminals knew back then to leave the civilian population alone. Which is why when there was an aberration, such as bonnie and clyde, or jesse james, who actively sought to kill civilians, they were reviled and hunted down fairly quickly because the general population hated them.
Actually if you had the money you could buy them no no problem. Civilians having machine guns is idiotic. Just be glad collectors can get them and they can't be produced anymore for civilian use.

I own five of them. I used to own a lot more of them but when they jumped in value to absurd levels I sold the bulk of my collection and bought a airplane and hangar with the money. Why do you believe it is idiotic for civilians to own guns that PROVABLY have not been used in crime. Since the NFA was passed back in 1934 the only recorded instance of a legally owned machinegun being used to commit a crime was a POLICEMAN who murdered his wife with one.

Why would civilians owning machine guns be in your opinion, "idiotic"?

Why should you care what they do with their money, if they're law-abiding citizens? Are they infringing on your right or something? Do you need to go hide in your safe space because someone owns something that you don't like?

Have you ever been robbed or intimidated by someone with a fully-automatic weapon or something?

Do you think that everyone should own a dinky gas-efficient hybrid car, even though more powerful albeit less-efficient cars and trucks are on the market to anyone who can afford them?

Who the heck are you to tell anyone what they can or cannot spend their money on? Do I tell you what you can or cannot spend your money on?

Sorry. According to the leftist idiots, you're not allowed to invest your money in highly-appreciable items like NFA weapons.

Since they are all socialists, you must be poor like they are. You know: Share the pain and misery, and all that.

You are referring to Communists in poor countries. Socialism is in all successful modern countries, well regulated capitalism with a good safety net, always democratic. And there are plenty of rich ones, because they know a healthy economy for everyone is best for everyone. Even the United States barely qualifies as long as we have ACA.

Oh? So you have no problem with RICH people owning guns. Is that what you are saying?

well that was a fundamental in the racist roots of gun control

the attempt to ban "Saturday night specials" was to keep blacks from easy access to self protection

Especially when the person espousing that idea go's to such great pains to denigrate the rich (supposedly), and claim that a socialist world is the ideal.

Legally held machine guns are generally only stolen from law enforcement and the military. I can't think of the last time that a machine gun was stolen from a collector. We go to pretty great pains to keep the out of the hands of criminals. The cops...not so much.

Hardly ever. I challenge you to get into my gun safe. If what you said were true, why have there only been two crimes committed with fully-automatic weapons since the National Firearms Act of 1934?

That's 84 years and only two recorded criminal acts committed with fully-automatic weapons.

Fine. Melt the machine guns down.
It is possible the quoted post was mis-understood; it implied that it is absurd to permit people to have any weapon money could buy simply because they have enough money. Money already has grotesquely too much hold over life.
