Why Progressives always call it "Reform"

poor insane frank..

Saul would be proud!

Knowing that you have nothing other than ridicule means I've already won the debate.

We'll discuss your terms of surrender after I've had my bagel and coffee

Isn't it truly funny? They stick to that tactic, the old Saul Alinsky "Rules for Radicals". They do it with extreme discipline, making sure to never attempt debating the facts. "Isolate, ridicule, mock". Man, they are good at those 3 things. Mabye they'll add "Debate" to that list.

I want someone to run on "Form" rather than "Reform". To reform is to duplicate a pre-existing form. And if the left is going to "reform" us, what left wing model are they gonna choose? Venezuela? Cuba? USSR? France? Sweden? The National Socialist Party of Germany??? C'mon Obama, let us know what you are going to "reform" us to.

I'd settle for reforming to 1950's morality. At least left wing supreme court justices weren't advocating genocide then.

To reform is to duplicate a pre-existing form.

Fail.

Maybe I can help since comprehension of things you read doesn't seem to be your strong suit. What in there are you interpreting as government monitoring of its citizens? The use of health records? The facilitation of the movement of those records between providers as you move from one doctor to another? Integration of technology into practices?
We're from the gubmint, and we're here to help!

It's for your own good...

Not to mention the pharmaceutical companies go back to being banned from advertising prescription medications to the public at large. One of the biggest mistakes of the Clinton admin right there was to remove that ban.

You know how much Cash is made selling those ads? Good luck with that.
unethical but profitable.... how much more leftist can you get? Gotta love me some situational ethics.

Not just my doctor.

It's not a defined term, how do you know it's limited to just my doctor?

Access to your medical record (use) is governed by state privacy laws, although minimum standards for privacy regulations are set by HIPAA (states can and do go beyond those in protecting medical privacy). You'll have to look up the relevant privacy laws in your state but, in general, access will be granted to medical professionals authorized by you.

Maybe because it is reform

Taking the backward, punative policies of the Conservatives and transforming it into a modern agenda ....is reform
You mean punitive policies like taxing anyone who doesn't buy mandatory health insurance?

it's not punitive.

if i don't maintain car insurance, i get fined more per day than any charge for not buying health insurance.

already been hearing doctors and chiropractors talk about retiring in 2014 because the government's going to run them out of business with all the new regulations and bureaucracy required to be allowed to practice. Cheaper to quit live off there retirement and go into a new career.

I do recall a survey of doctors back in 2009 that over 60% of doctors said they'd rather quit than deal with the new system.

You are not forced by the government to drive a car. You are forced by the government to buy health insurance. Please tell me you're not really this stupid.

You get fined?

I've got a car right here that has no insurance. I've never been fined for it.

Really?

Care to rephrase that to the truth.. or do you want to be educated again on the millions of people who do not have car insurance and do not get fined?

Um, if it's just between me and my doctor, why is the government requiring it to be stored electronically?

I told my doctor I did not want him to store my records electronically.
