Why people vote Republican

There are two reasons to vote Republican:

1) Because one is rich.
2) Because one has been deceived.

All Republican voters fall into one of those two categories.

Oh, but Democratic voters are not being deceived, right?

You're all lambs to your own slaughter. The only difference is the idiot flock you're a member of.

We're all being deceived at the end of the day. Both parties can talk a big game, but neither gets anything done.

Pretty much for the same reason many people vote Democratic... SPITE.

I really think 75% of all votes are cast AGAINST candidates voters hate than FOR candidates voters like.

That's because we most often are left with a choice that is the lesser of two evils so you vote against the most egregious or you don't vote at all

Except it is Republicans who are the bigger evil because of their blind belief in the pure free markets. They are consistently wrong about how to manage the economy. First, they promoted deregulation that creates a bubble. When it bursts, those idiots push for austerity. In other words, instead of adopting a counter-cyclical policy, they push for a policy that amplifies market ups and downs, because they think that market is a perfect force.

For same reason they refuse to see the problem with market rising the income inequality -- for them it is all a "natural order" of things, never mind that it is destroying the society.

And yes, they are planning to cut the entitlement programs -- look at Paul Ryan plan for Medicare.
Dimwits are socialists which makes those idiots the bigger evil.

It seems that all democrats do is post hyperbole.

Waste of my time.

Romney wants to "broaden the tax base". Guess what?- THATS THE POOR AND LOWER MIDDLE. Even though the people who pay "no taxes", actually federal income tax, DO pay as high a % as the mega rich if you include ALL taxes and fees....before the rich's accountants get to work...

Corporations pay 12%- recent finding...

Pubs ruin the non rich- EVERY TIME- see sig pp1 and the dupes believe easily disproven myths: Pubs are more patriotic, better for business, family values, SMALL GOV'T- actually just great salesmen (liars, hypocrites, spinners) and dividers (pp3)...

Because they are stupid.

Rank and file Republicans want to pay higher taxes, so the idle rich can pay less.
you have something proving that?....or is this just more idle Chris talk?.....

Hello!.. Republicans oppose rising taxes on the rich -- can you figure out who will pick up the tab?
he said and i Quote....."Rank and file Republicans want to pay higher taxes"....i dont know ANYONE of any Party that wants to pay higher taxes....now since Chris once again posted something he cant back up and you seem to be defending what he said.....maybe you can show me that link.......

exactly......

I've got news for you. We haven't had a pure free market in this country since the 19th century so I don't know where you get this idea that Republicans believe in "pure free markets."

Either DU, HuffNPuff, or DailyKOS.

One of the leftist echo chambers.

Thank Gaea we have liberals such as yourself who say they're qualified to tell us what we think and why we think it, based on no particular personal training or experience -- just a DU logon.

Just because we haven't had a pure free market, doesn't mean that republicans haven't been clamoring for it. "Reduce regulations, eliminate the EPA, eliminate this, eliminate that..." All in the name of letting private enterprise do what they want, when they want.

For the past century there have been more Republican presidents than Democratic and yet our nation has gotten farther away from a truly free market than closer to it. The Republican belief in a free market is nothing more than rhetoric. Look at what they actually do, not what they claim to want.

Not arguing that, I think the point was about republican beliefs. Just because they haven't been able to implement their beliefs doesn't change what they desire. And todays conservative republicans are louder than ever with their wishes for a "purely free market", free from regulation and government oversight. Just because they don't get what they want doesn't mean they didn't want it in the first place.
I keep hearing about this alleged Republican desire for a "purely free market", but I've never seen any substantiation.

Is it just one of those things "everybody knows"?

Yet you vote for the policy that will either lead to rising taxes on middle class and the poor (aka "broadening the tax base"), or to dismantling the entitlement programs (like Paul Ryan plan for replacing Medicare with vouchers).

NOPE! Keep voting Pub and waiting for small gov't, abortion reform, humble diplomacy, relief for the non rich, idiot dittohead dupe.

Pubs are not for deregulation, messing with birth control, polluting, screwing the workers, cutting Medicare/aid/SS? You're a gd moron. Read the sig, you're being distract by BULLSHYTTE from their SCREWING YOU. DUH.

I haven't seen where the republicans were cutting those programs. But there does need to be cuts, because we are in huge debt and the economy will not get better until cuts are made. Its what they make the cuts on....the things that are not a necessity are what have to be cut, but they seem to cut things that shouldn't be cut and other things could be cut.

Why people vote Republican

Probably for most it is because."That is what I have always done." Of course that holds true for Democrats also.
