Why Obama is so spineless?

Those are the things Obama should be stressing over and over again, untilled they become a common knowledge.

"Make the lie big, make it simple, keep saying it, and eventually they will believe it."

I see you're very familiar with Hitler's quotes.

Well, for many years now Obama helps spreading the right-wing lies about the debt and deficits, instead of trying to stop them. Which is baffling, because those lies form the basis for the attacks on Obama himself, and on the entitlements programs in general.

Have you bothered to look at what your dear leader has said in the past regarding the debt and deficits? He has been as critical as any republican even when spending was at much lower levels. He has called our debt unpatriotic and an undue burden on future generations, do you really think he could get away with doing a flip on this one? We all know he could actually give a shit about any of it in practice, but he has to maintain the narrative to save face.

who is in charge of the purse?

Go ahead.....

Who hasn't do their jobs as required by law of four years now?

Go ahead......

Interesting that conservatives see the President as tyrannical and the liberals as spineless.

He must be doing a good job if he pisses off everyone. You know, the definition of a good compromise is when nobody is happy about it.

I hope you right about Obama playing Republicans (and the voters?). But it does not make much sense to me.

And I am not at all convinced about virtues of a compromise. It could be good thing, but more often it is the worst outcome -- like driving into a divider, instead of turning left or right.

Democracy works best if a party can implement its agenda the way it wants it, so the voters can then decide whether it was the right thing to do. Unfortunately our political system requires politicians to reach a compromise, or face a deadlock -- both a less than perfect outcomes.

Democracies don't work. Our country was never intended to become a democracy nor is it one today.

When our Founding Fathers founded our country they intended it to be a Republic; that is, if we could keep it.

the OP doesnt understand that Obama and team have been way ahead in figuring out how to stop this current LIE infested republican party machine.

Obama does not need to maintain the narrative. Deficits are always bad, but cutting them while the economy is still weak is even worse. So there is no contradiction in criticizing Bush deficits and defending those Obama had to run.

That democracy vs republic bullshit is for clueless people. A republic is simply a form of democracy (arguably the best form). But republics could be different, and the one that Founding Father devised is far from perfect.

Obama is a Narcissist. He's not going to go out of his way for anyone.

Democracy = Rule of the People = Majority Rule = Mob Rule

Republic = Rule of Law

In a democracy 51% have absolute control over the other 49% of the population.

In a republic the elected officials defend the rights of all the people outlined in a constitution.

Someone would have to be clueless to say they're the same thing.

again who controls the purse....

Constitutionally, congress passes a law to spend money and the president signs it.

The house has done their job, the senate so far has refused to do theirs, until they do nothing can be presented to the president for signature. So what's your point?

Really? Didn't he also say raising taxes in a weak economy is also bad? Yet he raised taxes, tell me is he a liar or just stupid?
