Why does the right defend the wealthy class

The moment you allow government to deny property rights to one group, they will be able to deny property rights to any group, including yourself. Look at Soviet Russia. Everyone thought that the communists would only take the property of the super wealthy..... when that wealth was gone, they started confiscating everything else. And when that was gone, forced labor in Gulags, was the natural result.

Same thing is happening in Venezuela. First they confiscated major international corporation property, then local corporations property, and now they are confiscating anything they want. When that runs out, who knows how far the socialist government in Venezuela will go.

I know people who are related to the wealthy class in Venezuela.

We've discussed Chavez on several occasions.

Their take:

What goes on there is not reported as it is.

They actually support what has happened and say that it has lifted many people out of poverty.

I am not defending it.

I am saying that I have counter claims from people who have relatives who are living it who say it is not what the press says it is.
Just like the haves here in America have a completely different opinion than the have nots.

I'm sure a rich communist would defend communism.

But the facts are, the "have nots" in America, are actually the Haves. Most of the poorest people in America, have a luxury standard of living compared to the rest of the world.

You do realize that if you have an income of just $32,000 a year, you are the top 1% of wage earners in the world?

The fact is the majority of the planet, can only DREAM of the standard of living, that our poorest people have.

As twenty-three years of conservative economic policies have now shown.

100% stupid and liberal as always. The govt has gotten bigger for 23 years so where are the conservative economic policies?

Tell us or admit to having a low liberal IQ.
Tax the poor, feed the rich. Isn't that a conservative policy? Send jobs overseas to where labor is SLAVE labor. Isn't that a conservative policy? Hire illegals to do jobs Americans won't do. Give the tax breaks to the rich and wait for it to trickle down. Grow military spending. Kill unions. PLENTY of Conservative policies have been passed the last 23 years.

It's the far right (or those who hide under it's banner).

Conservatives have a different approach.

Far left. Not right.

Nope....far right.

So what? The fact is our parents were able to save for retirement and on top of that they got pensions.

Great example is my boss and her husband who both work but with two kids and a mortgage they aren't saving enough to retire AND neither of them will be getting pensions.

So yes they have a better life than people in other countries but they don't have it as good as our parents had it.

So Americans took a huge step backwards. You can't deny it. My boss is not unique.

So Americans took a huge step backwards. You can't deny it. My boss is not unique.

that is true, as America has become more liberal it has gone backwards. Every hear of East Germany/West Germany. Liberals are 100% stupid anti-science so look at East/ West Germany and say, lets emulate East Germany.

How about mind our own business, how cares what someone else makes,
It's theirs.

If someone is not making enough in their opinion(most likely they are getting what they are worth if they are complaining) they just need to get the lead out of their a$$ and work smarter/harder.

Hashtag our country has become a nation of lazy whiners

I can see you not being inundated by non-Americans.
Many parts of the US are not so lucky.
If everybody moved to South Dakota, the problems would tag along.

U.S. income inequality, on rise for decades, is now highest since 1928

U.S. income inequality, on rise for decades, is now highest since 1928

Harder for Americans to Rise From Lower Rungs

Benjamin Franklin did it. Henry Ford did it. And American life is built on the faith that others can do it, too: rise from humble origins to economic heights. “Movin’ on up,” George Jefferson-style, is not only a sitcom song but a civil religion.

But many researchers have reached a conclusion that turns conventional wisdom on its head: Americans enjoy less economic mobility than their peers in Canada and much of Western Europe. The mobility gap has been widely discussed in academic circles, but a sour season of mass unemployment and street protests has moved the discussion toward center stage.

Former Senator Rick Santorum of Pennsylvania, a Republican candidate for president, warned this fall that movement “up into the middle income is actually greater, the mobility in Europe, than it is in America.”

National Review, a conservative thought leader, wrote that “most Western European and English-speaking nations have higher rates of mobility.”

Even Representative Paul D. Ryan, a Wisconsin Republican who argues that overall mobility remains high, recently wrote that “mobility from the very bottom up” is “where the United States lags behind.”

In one breath conservatives argue how good poor Americans got it then say IF America sucks for the poor and middle class policies that ruined it.

I can just hear all the twisted spin on unions ruining America.

If it weren't for liberals there would never have been the middle class the new deal created.

God Republicans are stupid. The create NAFTA then send all those jobs to India China and mexico because they wanted to max profits. Union or not they didn't want to pay high American wages. They think Walmart wages are what uneducated masses should make. Not Ford or gm wages. Do away with those jobs and unions and Toyota and Honda workers would make Walmart wages.

That's not true. The system the way its set up now is rigged. What you are saying is the new GOP tax system where the rich no longer pay their fair share is what it is and we can't do anything about it. I disagree. Class warfare exists. Right now we are loosing.

My dad never made a lot but he saved and got 8% on what he saved. Cd's, ira's. Safe stuff that you didn't have to keep invested till 65. Maybe only tied up for a year or 3 years. Anyways, the poor who do save are getting fucked right now with interest rates down.

This doesn't affect the rich as much. Another way they've fucked us.

Well if that's the way you feel, why not open up your own company?

You can pay your floor sweepers $50,000 per year plus great benefits. You can pay your shelf stockers $35,000 per year plus three months vacation. Pay your parts inspectors $40,000 per year plus benefits.

Of course you will be out of business in no time at all, but what the hell, at least you provided good paying jobs that a monkey can do for a few short months until you go broke.

Or the CEO can go back to making 30 x what the employees make instead of 500% like the do know. Unions might have to come back. NAFTA may need to be renegotiated. We did just fine before NAFTA and bushanomics excellerated.
