Zone1 Why Catholics focus on Mary - and NOT to the exclusion of Jesus

Mary was created by God (no, it does not go w/o saying w/ some folks here)

Mary was created to be the mother of Jesus Christ, who is God, which is why Catholics call her Mother of God (no, they do not believe she gave birth to the entire trinity, just the human/God Jesus)

She is what we should be attempting to attain to: pure, centered on God's will and not man's will, never burdened by original sin, saved by Jesus BEFORE she was conceived (God can do these things, amazingly)

She exposes the human heart, especially to those who give her theirs

She gets us to focus on Christ and His ways, not our own
bible proof for your opinion?

Was the "Miracle of the Sun" a lying wonder? Based on biblical teaching, it would certainly seem so. Satan has no problem mixing enough truth to make a teaching seem right with just enough error to damn souls to hell. Where is the gospel of salvation by grace through faith in Christ—the message repeated throughout the whole of the New Testament—ever mentioned in the whole message of Fatima? Where is it ever mentioned that salvation is only through faith in Christ’s finished work on Calvary and that our works have no merit apart from Him (Ephesians 2:8-9)? Penance and making offerings for reparation of our sins are antithetical to Christ’s finished work on Calvary and of our need for salvation by grace alone through faith in Him alone. Calling upon Mary and her “Immaculate Heart” and viewing the Rosary as the ultimate means of saving souls fly in the face of such biblical truths as Acts 4:12 and 1 Timothy 2:5. "To the law and to the testimony! If they do not speak according to this word, it is because there is no light in them" (Isaiah 8:20).

mary appears not to cofirm that we are on the correct path, put to place major corrections in our always flawed interpretation of scripture.

It was the Catholic Church that turned Mary Magdalene into a hooker.
I think the Catholic Church tends to put the mother of Jesus on the same level as Jesus, almost to the point of idolization. Protestants don't do that.
There is a reason one of the primary commandments given to Moses was to not make images and bow down to them. Catholics, despite their protests to the contrary, make images of Mary and bow before them. When you start to put ANYTHING or ANYONE before God, you go down a very bad road.

Have you forgotten Jesus cast something like 7 demons out of her?
Which means that, and I know this is going to strip the gears right out of your gearbox, she was made as pure and clean as ANY of us who are in Christ. Here's the kicker, that includes Mary, a normal person saved by her faith in Yeshua.

Look more closely, Mary bowing down before God with us should not be slandered into anyone bowing to Mary. Honestly!

Moses was commanded not to make idols. Moses was commanded to make images of the Cherubim for the Ark of the Covenant; an image of a snake to be lifted up before the people for healing. He had no problem with either. However, when the people made a golden calf for the purpose of worship, he went ballistic. Therefore, Catholic images are not worshiped--never have been, never will be.
