Why are the Seahawks 3rd from the bottom on opening odds to win SB XLVI?

Couldn't believe it.

100-1 odds - ahead of only Buffalo and Carolina.

Didn't they win their division over teams with better odds (SF, St louis, Arizona.)?

Didnt they beat the defending SB champs Saints in the first round?

And they made a game of it in the second half in Chicago.

Because the Rams are winning that division next season and Seattle wont even be in the playoffs.

Seattle was 7-9 last season and deserved it.

The only reason I would give them better odds is that they play in a piss poor division and it is easy to get a home game in the playoffs

Hawks were 6 point underdogs to the Steelers in 2006 SB -despite fact they had a better record at 12-4, and Steelers were Wild Card. Sure -the Stealers won in worst reffed game in SB history - if Hawks had played their usual game they would have won by 10.

This season - Terry Bradshaw (one of the reasons I am glad Pitt lost to GB) - referered to Seattle as "Alaska South")

Should have said Alaska Left -don't think Sarah Palin has ever set foot in Seattle.

Unless there have been/are expected to be major personnel moves in Seattle, third from the bottom is silly.

On the other hand, they were 7-9, did not play well for a lot of the season, so they shouldn't be ranked too high, either.
