Why are so many older Americans still fighting the cold war?

I know the OP said "so many" but I do want to point out that many of us of Boomer age are not living in the past, not afraid to leave the house without a gun and peeing their pants at every Fox "news" story. Many of us continue to believe in individual freedom, individual responsibility and have no need to blame Blacks/Hispanics or our president.

who once said that the collapse of the Soviet Union was a major geopolitical disaster of the century. If you look at his actions in the Crimea and Ukraine it seems that wants to recreate at least some of that.

Why do you and the other crazy right wingers always comport Communism with totalitarianism and the despots who rule by the iron fist. Simply because a nation purports to label itself a People's Republic or a Socialist or Communist one doesn't mean anything. As with any politician (pol) we need to watch not what a government says about itself, but what it does.

Conservatives cannot be blamed for inertia, it is the voters who allow it. At least in democratic republics the people have a say, at least those who follow the advice above.
