I think a lot of Republicans believe things in principle but not in practice. We rail against social security, the police state, gross spending, the loss of personal liberties, government abuse, high health costs, the welfare state, the lack of Constitutional constraint, earmarks, unaccountability, political rhetoric, etc. And then here comes the guy that is lie yea this is ridiculous and unAmerican and they're just afraid of drastic change. Then their neighbors all saw it and said to themselves 'hmmm. This is the right thing to do.' Now, we have no laws yet. Soon, all of these like minded do-gooders, and the lazy fucks, decided that it would be good to have a tax to raise money to feed the lazy fucks, because hey - it would be good for the entire community not to have starving freeloaders running around. These people are the majority of voters in the community.
