You say Bush's spending was minute compared to Obama's, and that's true. However, it wasn't minute in reality. The bailouts that Bush pushed fall into the same category as every economic plan that Obama has pushed, regardless of who spent more. If one is a "COMMIE/MARXIST" than so is the other. Bush a moderate? I will agree he was anything but conservative, but the fact that neoconservatives are rooted in liberalism hardly makes the end result moderate.
As for McCain, I already addressed that in another post. He tacked right to win the nomination, then tacked right again for the general. IMO, he got stuck between demanding donors, bad advisors and the inner workings of the GOP - but he was no longer a moderate either.
