Let's face it, Gates makes his living off of racism. He has to claim it still exists or he'd be out of a job. We have a black president, elected by whites, seems to me the racism is now on the other foot.

Pretty good points.

Gates is double-advantaged: he can whine all day about racism both in general and in his personal life, and make a profit off it, and be as racist as he pleases toward white police (would he have leveled the same accusation against a BLACK officer who did the same thing?)

Whites, on the other hand, rarely get to have all this fun, though opportunities are arising. Just look at the Sotomayor hearings. What white Republicans have learned is that attacking someone for "racism" is some seriously good bear-bating sport!
