Iran will absolutely not stop funding Hamas, so that's out. There's also the Islamic saying of "from the water to the water," which the Palestinians have altered to say, "from the river to the sea. In both cases, it means Islam will conquer all lands from water to water. For hardcore Muslims, which is about a third of its population, the goal is to convert, enslave, or kill all infidels. The Palestinians will never really settle for a "two state solution."
If neither side could access actual modern day military arms, they would start hacking away at each other with swords and shooting arrows.
As for the Israelis, they really aren't committing genocide. They gave ample warning to the civilian populace to move south before going into Gaza and Hamas has admitted that they restrict civilians from moving and use them as shields. So, Israel isn't really committing genocide. If you want to see how genocide works, take a trip to all of the former Jewish/Roma/mentally handicapped, concentration camps that the Nazi party had going in WWII.
