They need to start putting the fear of Almighty God into these teens, like they did in my day.

We did some bad things, but nothing like this.

If we acted out in school, corporal punishment was mandatory. The priests and the brothers would do what they could to get us back on the straight and narrow. Of course, the Catholic Church had the entire experience of the inquisitional techniques, and really had cruelty down to a science.

But our test scores and that were much better than those in the failed government schools.
