Another thing that should be said is that ShootSpeeders doesn't speak for conservatives or republicans. He speaks for a fringe element on the political spectrum. No reasonable conservative would shoot someone in the face for knocking on the door when drunk. A wise gun-owner would have assessed the situation first before practically blowing someone's head off. If the person was armed and starting to point it at the home-owner, that'd be reason to aim and shoot. Disturbing your door isn't.

That's not to say all racists are on the right. Of course there are plenty on the left. I'm just speaking of the ones I see posting on forums like this one.

I can completely understand what you're feeling.

My philosophy is that there are bad apples in every group out there.

There are racist Conservatives/Republicans/Christians. However, there are also those who aren't. It's unfortunate, in my humble opinion, that the bad apples in each group tend to be more vocal and rabid than the other ones. The challenge, I suppose, is trying to discern the reasonable and decent ones in each group out there.

I don't think this shooting would have ever happened if blacks, in general were responsible law abiding citizens. Real talk. The police were there in one minute after he called 911. If he was scared, he would have called police. He said on the stand that "he didn't want to cower in his own home."
