Where's Entitlement Reform?

Where's Entitlement Reform?

There will be none, only more food stamps, free phones, section8, free medical, welfare checks, more employment checks- Obama will choke the chicken until the head falls off, on the bright side his butt will be gone in another long 4 years.Obama is the only man on earth who can defecate money.

On the Democratic side, we have people defending "entitlement programs". There is no justification for not reforming entitlement spending by raising the eligibility ages for SS and Medicare.

The Democratic side are defending the poor, aged, infirm and very young. We've seen how the R's feel about 'welfare' when they refused to support aid for the victims of Sandy. That said, Obama has agreed to entitlement reform, neither he nor the Republcans have made clear what that means.

On the Republican side, we have people defending Defense spending which has more than doubled since 9/11. There is no justification for making war level spending permanent. Defense spending can be radically cut without jeopardizing our military readiness.

All of these people are fiscal liberals. All of them. A D or R after their name makes no difference. They are all willing to borrow from China to continue their mad spending, and they will continue to raise the debt ceiling to keep that borrowing going forever. Both parties are completely unified in this attitude, despite the theater they put on for their partisan rubes.

We must rid ourselves of these fleas. Forget about party, and start thinking about our country before all of our wealth is transferred to China and the Middle East.

Not all of our debt is held by China; much is held by American citizens who invest in US Bonds and T bills.

Correct. China only holds 7% of our overall debt.

Fuck "entitlement reform", where are the goddamn defense cuts?

One is a constitutional mandate. The other isn't. Try to figure it out.

One adds nothing to the deficit, the other is our largest expenditure. We spend more on "defense" than the next 23 countries COMBINED. We could cut defense by 50% and STILL spend more.

I have figured it out, cut fucking defense.

Raising the retirement age is a bad idea. Not fair to working class.

Great idea for the Government, work your butt your whole life and pay in ,and then die a year after , real shame there are all the dirtbags who never payed a dime who get SSID who are just lazy a-hole leeches.:clap2:

How many citizens do you know who buy US bonds?

The Federal Reserve has been buying the bulk of US bonds. They are monetizing the debt, destroying our currency in the process, just to support the whacked out fiscal liberals' spending habits.

Wake up, people.

Raising the retirement age is a bad idea. Not fair to working class.

Tell that to FDR. This is not about "fair". This is about safety nets, not providing you with a way of life.

People who say things like "that's not fair to the working class" are completely ignorant of the original intent and scope of Social Security insurance.

We are destroying our country trying to support larger and larger percentages of our people out of less and less people's wallets. This is fucking bullshit.

This problem has become so large that we are WAAAAAY past the Either/Or proposition, ladies and gentlemen.

This is an AND situation. We must reform entitlement spending AND cut defense spending.

I'm sick of fiscal liberals in both parties trying to support the indefensible while standing on other people's backs.

Gimme, gimme, gimme. And make that guy over there pay for it.

A "constitutional mandate" is not an excuse to spend out of all reasonable bounds.

It's like home protection. What is resonable to you might be totally inadequate to someone else. You get to elect your representation who determines defense spending.

Consider who you are dealing with in this exchange.

The problem is for conservatives ‘reform’ means getting rid of Social Security, forcing people to work until they’re 80, and giving worthless ‘vouchers’ to seniors expecting them to buy health insurance they can’t afford.

Article I, sec 8, clause 1:

"The Congress shall have the Power To lay and collect Taxes, Duties, Imposts and Excises, to pay the Debts and provide for the common Defense and general Welfare of the United States...".

So...?
