When slapped, Obama should slap back

Have said before, am willing to give The Prophet the benefit of the doubt with his international apologia prom tour. Granted, junior does not really pull off his part very well to say the least. Moving out of the Chicago suburbs to the front stage in Brussels is a challenge even for The One.

Those with more life experience tend to read things into his actions that would normally be ascribed to an experienced leader. Which, and I am sure I will now hear some equivalency arguements, He is not. So what is going on?

HRC is one of the most scheming, aggressive, hags ever to hold a senior position in government. Anything of substance on foreign policy The Prophet executes on will be coming from HRC. I would wager she and Billy have been working on what is going on now for over 8 years.

Does Obama even understand what went down?

It's hard to argue with the results thus far from President Obama's "no drama" approach to campaigning and governing, but I think he should learn to chew a little scenery when the occasion demands. Theatricality is one of the weapons in any leader's arsenal, and a well-timed glower or growl can have more impact than a sheaf of position papers.
....

Granted, the history of U.S. involvement in Latin America is pretty sordid. And granted, Obama made clear that he intends no abdication of American leadership, but rather a new atmosphere of mutual respect.

Chavez, Ortega and a few others, however, made a show of being rude. A flash of presidential anger from Obama would have been in order.

When slapped, Obama should slap back

The clear indication of abdication of American leadership came when he said America is just one nation among many.

Of course....being the socialist commie that he is, Obama thinks we are just one nation...among the many of the new world order....under Him...

Thus Obama was not out to defend America....he's out to win over followers with his charisma and charm....shouldn't be too hard with these guys....BO, Chavez, Ortega, Castro are quite similar in outlook...

If ANY former President ('cept maybe Jimmy Carter) was given a book called The Open Veins of Latin America: Five Centuries of Pillage of a Continent which is a communist diatribe against the US, written by a man who in 2006 called the US a terrorist war machine... they wouldn't have said it was a "nice gesture"...which is exactly what BO said...

....it's time to stop Obama..... or our country will cease to exist...

I disagree completely that our history in Latin America is bad, how about providing examples instead of just calling us bad guys.

I lived in Mexico for seven months and over two years in Brazil, that does not make me an expert but its a bit of insight others do not have.

When are you righties gonna realise that's the way most of us have thought of you in the past eight years anyway. NOBODY took Bush seriously. Not even Sadman. Sure you ousted him, but at what cost (both in servicemen/women killed and actual monetary terms). Did it bring stability to Iraq and the ME? Nope.

You guys just don't get it. You think strutting around puffing your chest out brings respect and vicariously your enemies fear you. They do not.

Obama has done more to add to US credibility as a country that values other nations' input into this world in three months than Bush did in his whole term.

You cons have proven once again that while you pretend to expouse "freedom" and the "American way", you are nothing but a world version of the school yard bully...

Big deal. Are you afraid of a little criticism?

from your own president you ask that question?......geezus.....is there room for one more in that big leftest ass?

Uh, no, Burp is not my president.

They'd never elect someone who play cowbell.

If the last 8 years have been so bad...and we have lost so much respect around the world, what better way to start to get it back?

Obama walking out would have said, "We are the United States. We have made some mistakes. But we are still the greatest county in the world and I'll be damned if I'm going to sit here and let anyone trash my country."

Imagine the headlines on that one.

Being patriotic shows you are a blowhard? Interesting. Wrong, but interesting.

You wouldn't understand. You are from Canada.

Ego...that is comical. Only thing he could say about Ortega was something about himself.

Egotistical. Narcissistic.

well lets put it like this Grump.....if Lower Slobovia wanted to invade your country.....you guys are going to have a new flag by the end of the week.....

Doubtful...When I talk of greatest of a country, I ain't just talking military. That is but a small portion of what makes a country great IMO...

Considering where you are from, you are smart for feeling that way.

OTT patriotism is definitely blowhard..

I understand I don't have to spout off to all and sundry that my country is the best in the world yadda, yadda, yadda. Each to their own I say....

That makes the difference between the people in your country and in ours.

We are proud to be patriotic. You consider it yadda, yadda, yadda.

That speaks volumes.
