Most of the prophecies are predictions of the outcomes of human nature; the bible is a work of human psyche, character flaws, failures of logic, failures of good intentions, etc., etc., along with lots of advice on positive ways of producing good outcomes, and it is all a matter of choices. Whether they are 'magic' or products of shrewd intellectual analysis are really distinctions without a difference re the result of human choices and group actions. This is why it is historically important as a comprehensive guide and essentially timeless as a work of art and philosophy. It is complete as written and intended.
It is also the accurate ancient translations in world history, and nobody rewrote it just because some Emperor told them to and all the other absurd rubbish those who don't like what is said in it re some topic or other and want to rewrite it to suit their own egos. Appreciate it for what it is and not for what you want to force it to be.
