Ok, you still didn't answer the question. I asked what they would charge you with if they confiscated your phone and demanded to look through it without a warrant and you refused to give up your password.

They will simply refuse you entry to the country. Note: you have NO RIGHT TO PRIVACY at a border crossing.
 
That's not true. If you're a resident here you can't be denied entry into your own country. Unless you have dual citizenship or are intoxicated upon entry, they must let you in. They can confiscate your phone, but not deny you entry.

What is the general government basing the exigency on, for that Infringement to Individual Liberty?
 
You can give them your password and then change it as soon as you leave the airport.
 
You can go to YouTube and find 147crapillion videos of cops behaving badly and bald faced lying. It's best to know the laws and your rights when dealing with officers trying to pull one over on you. A great deal of the time if you don't act like a screaming meemie and point out your right, the cop will back down.
