What the oil spill tells us about Obama.

Obama and his entire administration are a bunch of incompetent bafoons

Christ Miss Stix!! Why do you say such stupid shit? You are better than that. I know you are.

Every president with an exception or two tries to gather the best minds possible to run this organization we call america.

You may not agree with everything Obama does....I don't either..but to say Obama is an incompetant baffon is just unneccesary.

We had incompetant Baffoon recently don't you remember? Let me ask you this... Think back and ask yourself if you would rather have Bush handling the problems that Obama was handed. Can you imagine what would be going on if Bush was still president?

Look I'm not trying to deflect to Bush but...seriously.. The guy pulled us back from the brink of total ruin...are you so steeped in hatred that you cannot see that he fuckin saved our country from a spiral depression that would have made most of us fucking homeless and jobless. Jesus. Give him some credit.

The federal government is obviously filled with a bunch of bureaucratic bafoons

I agree with this opinion piece by Charles Krauthammer

Charles Krauthammer: Many to blame for oil spill | Philadelphia Inquirer | 05/31/2010

What about the September 2009 letter from Obama's National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration accusing Interior's Minerals Management Service of understating the "risk and impacts" of a major oil spill? When you get a blowout 15 months into your administration, and your own Interior Department had given BP a "categorical" environmental exemption in April 2009, the buck stops.
In the end, speeches will make no difference. If BP can cap the well in time to prevent an absolute calamity in the Gulf, the president will escape politically. If the gusher isn't stopped before the relief wells are completed in August, it will become Obama's Katrina.
That will be unfair, because Obama is no more responsible for the damage caused by this than Bush was for the damage caused by Katrina. But that's the nature of American politics and its presidential cult of personality: We expect our presidents to play Superman. Helplessness, however undeniable, is no defense.
Moreover, Obama has never been overly modest about his own powers. Two years ago next week, he declared that history will mark his ascent to the presidency as the moment when "our planet began to heal" and "the rise of the oceans began to slow."
Well, when you anoint yourself King Canute, you mustn't be surprised when your subjects expect you to command the tides.

Obama has surrounded himself with loyal partisans, not experts. He came into office with no business experience, having never run so much as a hot dog stand on his own, and rather than look to the best minds, he relies on other elitist eggheads like himself. The main qualification for Obama administration appointment would appear to be a rabid dedication to his socialist policy.

And Obama hasn't "saved" this country from any "ruin".
Unless you think it's okay for my kids and future grandkids to face economic slavery under the crushing debt this yahoo has imposed upon them so he can BUY the good will of slackers who would rather suffer a nanny than exercise their liberty.

Murf,
Why are you such a psychopath?

And the environmentalists, that banned us from drilling in the antartic are also guilty of being a bunch of bafoons. They too can carry some of the blame. Ultra deep sea drilling, is crazy. It could be handled better on land

So Mr kerrylostnohio,

Isn't the environmentalists, your party

Damn, another idiot blaming the environmentalists.

Obama has mishandled this crisis, there is no question about that.

However, what fucking pisses me off about you dirt stupid Repug fucks is the glee you express over this. Multinational corporations like BP and Goldman Sachs have fucking wrecked our economy and our environment, but all you idiots do is whine about Obama and Democrats. You mindless Repug fucks STILL believe that there should be LESS government regulation, not more.

You Repug mother fuckers are so god damned stupid and blind it's pathetic.

Obama is blameless in this crisis. No major crisis ever gets handled perfectly by those in charge, but many get handled successfully. Only someone who believes Obama must be perfect would claim he's failing here.

Yes, you are absolutely right in pointing out how ridiculous conservatives look trying to blame this on insufficient regulation.

Murf,
Why are you such a psychopath?

Psychopath? Is that what we're calling the loyal opposition these days?
Really, I think what you're referring to as "psychopathy", the rest of us just call eyesight.

How 'bout unenforced regulation? Seems to me that there was supposed to be an environmental impact study done which was waived. And that there's some valve gizmo out there that might have shut down the flow after the accident IF... say, an environmental impact study found that it was necessary to have one on hand.

This oil spill did NOT happen due to a lack of sufficient regulation. It happened because the regulations in place were not sufficiently enforced.

Perhaps he meant "sociopath". I would co-sign that.

No I meant psychopath... Government malcontent, no real platform. I've never read a post by ol' Murf that didn't make me think psychosis itself would look at him and say "Damn he's nuts."

Well he did claim King Canute status, sooo what should one expect, Obama has never been overly modest about his own powers. Two years ago next week, he declared that history will mark his ascent to the presidency as the moment when "our planet began to heal" and "the rise of the oceans began to slow."

Ahhh... another glittering example of liberal tolerance. Just lovely to behold. Really. :eusa_whistle:

I don't "glitter" although you might check KrustyFranks locker...We ran some tests at "The List" and there was definitely "glitter" left on and around THE HOMO CAGE.

I would not want to speculalate on what you find "lovely to behold".

If conservatives had their way those regulations wouldn't even be there. Conservatives got EXACTLY what they want when those regulations weren't stringently enforced -

LESS GOVERNMENT INTERFERENCE IN THE PRIVATE SECTOR.

That has always been a conservative battle cry. Well, this is what you get.

This, in fact, has been a costly experiment testing the hypothetical question:

What if Conservatives WERE in charge?

Stand by, you're about to hear how government interference somehow CAUSED this problem.... Wait for it....

?

The reason that this question is hypothetical is because the Conservatives are not in charge and have not been in charge since 2006.

Every committee in both houses of congress has been chaired by a Democrat since the sessions beginning after the 2006 election.

If there are no regulations that are effective, it is the fault of the Democrat Party. If there are regulations, but they are not being enforced, it is the fault of the Democrat Party. You might want to review how much money has been directed to the Dems by the Oil Companies.

The Democrat Party might want to pull a Pontious Pilate, but oil don't wash off that easy.

It's just a marvel that you have time to do all the disingenuous posting that you manage to do... what with your lips so firmly attached to Obama's ass.

Once again... again... Republican DO adhere to the belief that some government regulation is necessary. Otherwise, there wouldn't be Constitutional provisions for it. We just think you don't need a Sherman tank when a flyswatter would do. "Less Government Interference" does not translate to "No Government Interference".

But, just for shits and giggles, let's take a look at your "hypothetical"...

IF there were no regulatory power in place on this gulf oil spill, the only difference in outcome would be that we wouldn't have been paying an army of bureaucrats fat salaries so they could sit on their collective asses looking at porn all day. Because the regulations already in place were obviously ineffective due to lack of enforcement.

So, you tell me... what the fuck are we paying these idiots a mountain of cash for if the end result is invariably incompetence? :eusa_eh:

I'm just so impressed you used the word "think".
I mean, it's obvious that your thinking is wrong... but hey, it's a start. Maybe some day, you'll be a REAL BOY, and not just another one of Obama's pre-programmed sock puppets.

I'm just sayin'... Hypocrisy on that level is dazzling. Why, I bet it can be viewed from space. The Eighth Wonder of the World... the mountain of greasy lies the left has built in monument to their much-touted "Tolerance", when all the while, their agenda is beating the diversity out of human thought. Just incredible.
