1. Democrats did a great organizational job to take a severely Gerrymandered House
2. Trump did a great job in organizing his base to increase the number of Senate seats
3. Republicans did what is necessary to win close contests
4. Republicans held their stronghold in the South but Dems showed that formerly solid Red states like Georgia, Texas and Arizona are up for grabs
5. For 2020, Florida and Ohio still showed they are leaning red but Pennsylvania, Michigan and Wisconsin drifted back to blue

Dem's lied pretending to be right leaning moderates just like they did in 2008. After Nancy Pelosi and Maxine Waters force these so called moderate Dem's to vote for the bat shit crazy liberal agenda they will be wiped out in 2020 just like they were in 2010. :auiqs.jpg:

The way the Democrats have been behaving the last 10 years, I didn't think they would pull that off. I had the Republicans taking both the House and Senate.

Actually, the results showed Dems moving more to the left and running as liberals

Only in places where their seats were safe.

6. The election set up a thorough investigation of the Trump empire once Mueller releases his report

Lib please stop lying, all the Dem incumbents who lost voted against Kavanaugh. :anj_stfu:

As much as I don't like Paul "Rhino" Ryan, at least the Dems didn't take the Senate, too!

Politics is nothing but a game of lies and Trump is the best that is why he won...

It showed that we should ALL vote Libertarian in 2020 and kick ALL these bozos, including the Clown-in Chief, the hell out.

you people lack perspective which is why you all seem to think every election is historic or unprecedented

The sitting president's party loses the house in midterms 92% of the time so really this election ain't so fucking special

No.
The election showed nothing for 2020.
Nothing.
We are about to witness 2 of the ugliest years in modern American history.
The Democrats in the house are going to start an anti-Trump campaign, and he will respond in kind.
This will be a political war between two sides.
And we will lose no matter who wins.

The election showed I can now legally grow weed with a doctor's signature.

Now that's victory, screw the politicians....

It also showed that the man who called it a great victory when for the next 2 years his name is mud , is a GD lunatic

Many of the races, particularly in the House, turned not on the national narrative, but the individual candidates.

Here in Pennsylvania, we have a mediocre Democrat Senator and a pretty bad Democrat Governor, and both won because the Republicans put up even worse opponents.

In the Big Picture, neither of these races mean anything.

I wonder if the Republicans would have kept the House if Trump wasn't censored by the MSM.

That was the KO haymaker that the Republicans didn't see coming.

Imagine if the dems won BOTH the House and Senate what Trump's presidency would be like. Trump's big win in the Senate means that the voters will see the stark difference between the two parties for 2020. Trump has only one year to navigate the House attacks, then its all dem primaries and the 2020 election polls...I personally don't think the coming year will be much different than the last two, with the dems and MSM constantly going negative, and the voters tuning them out.
