If we can't question the truth because it might offend, how are supposed to find it?

Truth is something that doesn't go away just because you don't like it or disagree. But when it comes to words, dialogue etc truth has little substance as humans pick and choose their truths. Human truth is based on knowledge, verifiable knowledge that is open to observation and testing and consequences. But Mary given your opening you tell us who you are and what your goal is - Truth has no place there.

“If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State.”

This is an excellent definition of the “Big lie,” however, there seems to be no evidence that it was used by Nazi propaganda chief Joseph Goebbels, though it is often attributed to him.

I define "TRUTH" or something that's "TRUE" as a statement or belief that is ACCURATE using evidence and logical reasoning.
Truth is important in the court of law.
For example, when courts assessed claims that the 2020 Presidential election was "stolen", they concluded the claims did not have reasonable evidence, let alone solid evidence, and were therefore, NOT TRUTHFUL.
