There are two possible reasons that he was appointed to oversee the upcoming enquiry, To come down so hard on Israel that the UN will be forced into taking action that otherwise they would never have taken. As I keep telling you prior to 1967 there was no occupation and the violence and aggression towards Israel was in evidence. So this one fact shows that hamas are lying and are not to be trusted. Their words are kithman and taqiya, Lies and Deceit, as commanded in the Koran to corrupt the truth. War is always a choice and all the Palestinians need do is follow the steps outlined in 242 and 338 to bring about a settlement. They are far to arrogant and self centred to realise that they are not the top of the heap and cant make demands any more. As he says he wants serious negotiations that lead to an end of the aggression on gaza and the Israeli's giving in to the Palestinian demands. Is he that stupid that he does not realise that Palestinian demands are alreadt dead in the water and that Israel will not be party to any negotiations were demands are made that must be met or the violence will carry on. How many more dead Palestinians will it take to realise that Israel will never capitulate and give anything to receive nothing.

Not according to the evidence hamas fired over 200 rockets at Israel in the months prior to the murders of the 3 boys by hamas operatives. Israel did what any police force would do and arrested known suspects . Those that used deadly force against the Police teams were dealt with appropriately and were shot. They destroyed military objectives used by hamas to fire rockets at Israeli civilians as detailed in the Geneva conventions. The same rockets are illegal weapons under the terms of the Geneva conventions and the rules of war which the P.A. has just recently signed to accept and abide by. The rhetoric spoken by hamas in the months leading up to the kidnapping and murders shows that they were pushing for a fight and got more than they expected.
