What if Obama made this November 8th a national holiday?

To counter the voters' suppression, openly admitted by some states' right wing politicians, what would happen if, by EO, Obama made the voting Tuesdays for national elections a public holiday?

Would this increase voters' turn-out? Who can openly argue AGAINST a high voters' turnout within a democracy? Would minority voters be more likely to vote during a national holiday?
Nope. The stoners on the left would stay home and sleep it off.

You're against making it easy for everyone to vote?

Maybe you can make voting mandatory, as the spiritual founder of your party, Josef Stalin did? Make everyone show their filled out ballot to the nice IRS agent to check....

Your panic and desperation is the source of great amusement for me.

So are you against making it easy for everyone to vote?

Minnesota, Alaska, Colorado, Washington, South Dakota and Maine have the highest voter turnouts of the 50 states.

Those are also some of the whitest states in America.

I guess that blows the whole "darkies voting themselves gifts" theory out of the water.
Dumbass. Compare the electoral vote counts of those states with California (55), Florida (29), New York (29), New Jersey (14), Pennsylvania (20), Ohio (18). Minnesota has only 10 which is the most of those "white" states. The rest are single digits. Democraps only need 16 states, because of California's Hispanic population, to win the election, so the "darkies" are deciding our elections, you fucking piss drinking rube!!!

Election Day should be a national holiday.

If for no other reason than to celebrate the kicking right wingers arses on this forum, once again....LOL

Colorado, Washington, and Oregon vote entirely by mail.

During the 2014 election, 53.7 percent of eligible voters in Colorado voted. 50.9 percent in Oregon voted, and 41.2 percent in Washington.

Those are all above the 36.7 percent national average for the 2014 election. Colorado and Oregon were well above the national average in particular.

Pot legalization was on the ballot.

Simple as that.

Nope. Those states consistently have higher than average eligible voter turnouts.

I provided the links. READ THEM.

You could always buy a Hillary doll and stick pins in it to help your cause, imbecile.....

How would that help?

Besides, she is already losing and it's only going to get worse once you fuck the Sanders voters over.

...and btw, there are ways for government workers to get time off to go vote, if certain criteria are met such as shift hours and distance to a polling place.

I know both LA County and Federal workers, they have to spend PTO to go vote.

You right wingers are a bit more dense today than your usual inanity.

You Bolsheviks are melting down. Your master, George Soros told you Hillary was anointed and the election was just a formality before her coronation.

Now you find out he was lying... :eusa_whistle:

Do it on Veteran's Day and it would make more sense. The day of the week should not matter and it could be on a National Holiday that is already in November.

Another choice is make it on Sunday... It could be the second Sunday in November which would mean many would be off already could be done after Church if someone goes to Church.

I think we should change tax day to the day before election day do away with payroll withholding and make everyone write a big fat check to the government the day before they cast ballots.

No. If people had a polling place in their back yard, they still wouldn’t vote.
