what ever happened to the Tea Party?

They are pretending we dont exist

They figured out that they more they covered it the more average americans looked for themselves and said "yeah, i'm for reigning in government spending and programs to stop adding to and then reduce the national debt too"

Ya know... for years and still to this day I see 'Bush/Cheney' stickers on cars... I have only seen one sticker for the Dear Leader around here, and it just so happens to be on this fat lady's truck down the street from me.
She lives in a dump of a house too :dunno:

I live in MA....i either see cars with obama/biden 2008 or 2012 stickers or cars with stickers that say "Silly Liberals, Checks are for Workers"

But yea, there aren't a lot of obama/biden 2012 stickers around yet....i'm waiting to see the elisabeth warren vs scott brown stuff showing up on bumpers.

I would never put a political bumper sticker on my car...i know several customers whos obama stickers got them an "obama's policies stress me out" charge on their repairs :eusa_shifty:

There was many Tea Party rallies accross the nation this last weekend. I attended the one here in Orlando, I'll bet it was about 2,000 people there.

Bullshit

The one up here in boston today is reported, by 96.9 wxtk, to have over a 1000 at it right now.

I guess there are some people down at the big rotary in Hyannis on cape-cod protesting too.

And this is in very blue Massachussetts. Like I said, they are still around its just the media is ignoring it now....other than fox news and talk radio that is.

Of the several self-proclaimed "Tea Party" folks I have net not one of them was employed. In fact every one of them I've ever talked to was retired or unemployed.

The park office says there were 700 estimated for the rally in Orlando. And, that is in part due to a huge Spring Fiesta ( 25000 for the weekend ) at the same location. Governor Rick Scott was the keynote. The 2000 number is a gross exaggeration.

There are alot more who work, in the Tea Party, than the ones who are in the occupy wall street crowd. I only heard one who said they took off work to protest in the OWS. None of them have a job at all. Most have never even worked one day in their lives.

.

The Tea Party pretty much started going into the shitter when the hardcore Christian rightwingers like Palin, Bachmann and Beck recognized opportunity and co-opted the movement.

It was interesting before that. Responsible spending by government. Cool. That lasted about a week before the wingers took over.

.

I'm sorry. The "Tea Party Movement" was an example of monied right winger playmakers recognizing that they could capitalize on an intense dissatisfaction with the results of the 2008 Presidential election among engaged GOP voters with time on their hands.

I haven't seen a bunch of guys in 3 cornered hats holding misspelled signs lately. What happened to the TP?

You big government assholes still have the fiscally responsible out numbered.

It isnt rocket science.

The leaderless Tea Party got into internecine battles regarding whether to use community funds (socialism crept in) to purchase extra strength adult diapers or medium strength diapers. this caused a whole lot of problems as a split developed between Tea Baggers in wheelchairs vs Tea Baggers on Scooters.

It seems the federally mandated health insurance plans they had, had differing payment options in different states.

By going into the shitter you mean became a large, organized political movement that now represents the swing vote in American politics.

That makes it worse. It means you know there were not that many people and you said it anyway.

Really.........for a lame thing like that rally, you ought to be proud of 700. That is more than I thought they'd get. The "tea party" is a bad memory.

Hey moron, I figured it was 2000. Like I said I didn't count them and therefor I don't know for sure, but what I do know is that it was way more than 700. How hard is that to understand?
