What America’s Great Unwinding Would Mean for the World.

1. If we don't fix the Federal Budget and the Deficit soon there will be a lot more people dying in the gutters.
2. Cutting corporate welfare means that cheap foreign labor undercuts US products, so many jobs would be lost. Not a good option.
3. Taxing the wealthy won't fix the problem. They would just move to tax havens.
4. The Military Industrial Complex isn't the boogeyman either. We need a strong military, and to be able to supply our allies with complex systems. More US jobs.
5. Agree moving 6m factories to China was a mistake. Soon Wall Street will pay the price for that error.
6. Correct. Politics stopped the Grace Commission before. Now we need those ideas or we're toast.
The bigger problem is self evident. The empire is killing itself with nonstop war. Why? Because war is extraordinarily profitable for the elite. Kill the war machine or the empire kills itself. It just might be that simple.

History certainly is full of empires that died due to their constant warring. You'd think the wizards of smart in the imperial capital on the Potomac know this.

Much of the world sees the USG as a harmful force. This is evident with this provoked proxy war.

As though it's not a territory taken by force of arms. Empire.
We freed the island from Spain

Its free to become wn independent nation whenever it wants

But the voters prefer America

Puerto Rico can become independent whenever it wants

Otherwise you got nuthin’
We are living in a time of unchecked militarism driven by enormous profits for a war industry cartel. I’m guessing you can’t see this. You’re stuck living a myth.

You answer facts with bombast

Wrong.

empires are large terretories ruled over by another which then takes the wealth of those it rules over.

The US may dominate the world now and will continue to do so for a long time to come. But unlike empires we tend to give wealth to others and trade with them while they remain independent.

No one is attacking CHina's shipping....or in almost every case, anyone else's. This is not accidental. This doesn't just 'happen', as demonstrated by history rife with hostile seas, rampant piracy, privateering and blockades.

We've created a system of freedom on the seas so profound and world wide, that generally speaking no one is attacking anyone's shipping.
For how long has this been the case?

1. What non-stop war?
2. Putin invaded Ukraine. Bet he wishes he didn't....
3. Why? Because the US and NATO countries have real economies and militaries. Russia is a gas station with nukes.
4. China is looking aggressively militaristic. If they start taking territory what will you do without a strong military?
5. Then again, they could just buy the US piece by piece without bloodshed. They just need to wait a few years till the dollar crashes. They bought a lot of farmland already.

What America’s Great Unwinding Would Mean for the World.

This is not an America bashing thread, or what they did or didn’t do in the past to gain hegemony.

It’s what would be the effect on the rest of the world if America imploded, atrophied, collapsed, failed.......whatever.
How come you won't address that?

Lol, like Cuba and the Philippines?
From 1898 to Philippine independence after WWII you could accuse the US of imperialism

But that was a long time ago and isnt true today

Fair enough. I accept I'm not going to get an answer from you as to who will attack the trade routes between China and Australia when the US stops 'protecting' them.

One doesn’t have remotely normal conversations with trash like you.
By observation, that then includes all the participants of your thread. No wonder you never comment on topic if trash is all you have for an audience.
