What Americans want…

I don't want rich peoples money, but I have no problem earning their money from them.
I would expect the same in reverse…
Just existing does not entitle anyone to do anything…

So in other words, you're living off other peoples' (your boss') money.

See how it works?
If you're not happy working for somebody for your living, make your own living. I've been self-employed for 20+ years that has made me debt free for 20+ years.
In other words that has made me financially independent...

Your assumption that self employment equals debt free suggests that you are not very well versed in the topic.

Other peoples' money is how the system works.
Yes, that's how Socialism works taking money from one group of people, giving it to the government. Then the government giving a very small portion of it to another group of people.
Taking from the poor like with this medicade transfer of wealth to billionaires, meets with your approval?? It does with most repubs

Maybe it's just me but I don't think those who have grown with less chances in life should continue to be punished
If I can do it anybody can, I grew up on the Indian reservation, literally on a dirt floor. With no running water, no air conditioning, and a 40-year-old stove for heat and cooking.
I understand you have bought Into the progressive moto - If someone has... you have not…
You deserve all the congrats in the world Don't care much for your politics but your get up and go is great

Those socialist countries are living off other peoples money… Sooner or later it will dry up

WTF is medicade?
Medicaid is a health care program that assists low-income families or individuals in paying for long-term medical and custodial care costs. Medicaid is a joint program, funded primarily by the federal government and run at the state level, where coverage may vary.
Any of those socialist entitlement programs are supposed to be for a hand up, not a handout… And should never be permanent, just temporary.
But then again this is socialism and they have morphed into the monsters they are...

America leads the world when it comes to access to higher education. But when it comes to health, environmental protection, and fighting discrimination, it trails many other developed countries, according to the Social Progress Imperative, a U.S.-based nonprofit.

The results of the group’s annual survey, which ranks nations based on 50 metrics, call to mind other reviews of national well-being, such as the World Happiness Report released in March, which was led by Norway, Denmark, and Iceland, or September’s Lancet study on sustainable development. In that one, Iceland, Singapore, Sweden, and the U.S. took spots 1, 2, 3, and 28—respectively.

The Social Progress Index released this week is compiled from social and environmental data that come as close as possible to revealing how people live. “We want to measure a country’s health and wellness achieved, not how much effort is expended, nor how much the country spends on healthcare,” the report states. Scandinavia walked away with the top four of 128 slots. Denmark scored the highest. America came in at 18.

At a more rapid pace with "refugees" getting free everything
I personally know some people over in Germany that are reaping what they sow, and are hating it. Lol

No, they choose to spend their money in the way they want to spend their money. Unlike forced socialist entitlement programs…

No, but it makes it extremely easy to be debt-free. Because you're making your own decisions… And you only have yourself to blame for failure.

Maybe you should do some research and find out how many are on government assistance only until they get back on their feet vs. how many are on it permanently as a way of life.

Maybe then you can speak with some authority on the subject rather than just spitting out right wing Fox news talking points.

As for me, I don't give a shit either way because the difference will have absolutely no impact on my life.

First of all I'm an independent libertarian, Second of all I don't have any cable TV so to speak, I do have sling TV and the only news channel I have is the Clinton news network.... now that we got that out-of-the-way.
The federal government should not be involved in people's personal lives… But they are and we have to live with it. That being said those programs are abused Tremendously… Fact

When you make life better for the poor you make life better for all
This is true, but you don't do it with handouts. The government will never make life better, That's the job of capitalism.
That's why Socialism has never worked long term in the history of the planet… It brings out the worst in people

If Capitalism took care of the poor, socialism would never have been necessary.

Capitalism doesn´t work. Over time, it accumulates all the money into a single hand. Therefore the government is required to regulate the free market. If it doesn´t, the system will crash due to a lack of purchasing power.
It does seem like the only ones to make gains these past 20-30 years have been the wealthy
The real wages stayed the same or even sank but we don´t notice because all the stuff is now cheaply made in China. But it will fire back and we won´t be prepared.
Tiffany is doing great lots of million dollar homes being bought up markets sky high Rich get richer and the poor have babies NOW lets cut medicade to give billionaires a tax cut ? Is this what America really wants?
Look around. It is. Those poor got it for free which is socialism and evil and must end. If it is freely given to the rich it can´t be socialism, therefore it must be righteous.

Wrong and wrong.

And, from eddiew 's article, that the US is first in education. That hasn't been true for a long time. Now that wealthy countries are offering university tuition-free and the US is stopping education opportunities, cutting the quality of our schools at all levels, increasing fundie home schooling, we're in a fatal downward spin.
