What Actions Will The Next GOP President Take?

I can absolutely guarantee you one thing about the next Republican President: He will not be measured by the same yardsticks the right wing partisan hacks have been using to measure Obama.

There will be a pandemic of amnesia on January 20th of the year the Republican President takes office.
The same amnesia the Democrats contracted January 2009?

Opposed deposing Saddam using military force, had no problem deposing Quddafi and couldn't wait to bomb Syria over chemical weapons.

Bitched for months over guns recovered in Mexico...Obama's DOJ allows guns to be sold to the cartels...not a peep.

Complained for years over Bush's executive orders and signing statements...cheer Obama for same.

Push for public funding of presidential elections...McCain takes it, Obama goes back on his promise...silence.

Complained for years about the Patriot Act...Obama reauthorizes it, Democratic super majority reauthorizes it.

NSA Spying...no big deal when Obama is Quarterbacking the team.

Guantanamo Bay...haven't heard shit about it in years...

And that's what I can thing of off the top of my head.

That's because he will be white...or god forbid, another Bush.

Please provide some specific examples of Bush doing "the exact same things".

Let's start with his Medicare expansion, which, by your definition, would qualify as a massive government takeover of healthcare. Rabbit here even puts it on his list of reasons to impeach Obama. So why weren't you demanding Bush be impeached over the same thing?

Go on. We'll wait. Once you address that, we move on to further examples of your suspiciously convenient partisan amnesia.
Bush expanded Medicare to cover prescription drugs, something Dems agitated for. He didnt do it unilaterally but had legislation passed on bipartisan votes in both houses. It only affected Medicare recipients, not the average American.
So that point looks to be a failure.
Next?

You lie. The bill passed the House 216 to 215. Democrats voted against it 195 to 7.

Rabbi(T) has a hat he pulls out of his ass when he posts.

Now we have precedent that any time a law is unworkable or underfunded (ever seen one that wasnt?) the president can take unilateral action to "fix" it.
So what will the next GOP president do?
How about:
No more enforcement of the Clean Air Act, which merely burdens companies with expensive useless regulations.
No enforcement of cap gains taxes for gains over 10 years.
No enforcement of Obamacare. Ever. Anywhere.
No enforcement of min wage laws
No enforcement of Dodd Frank or Sarbanes Oxley.

Any others?

So you conservatives condemn what Obama is doing as evil, but you will happily vote for Republican who would do the same thing?

Classic hypocrisy.
Hell man, Obama could get this deal any day of the week and twice on Sundays.

He's a fool for trying to expand executive authority and bypassing congress to accomplish this little. And it's likely to blow up in his face.

Close the border and stop the influx of more illegals and I'd be HAPPY to give the rest immunity from deportation if they had been here five years. Give them a green card and let them live in peace. BUT...no citizenship...ever. That's the imposed penalty for coming over the border illegally.

We did the amnesty thing last time, and all it got us was more illegals. Not again.

Secure the southern border first, and then grant immunity from deportation only.

Obama created the precedent and you idiotlibs cheer. So now when the next GOP president gets in you'll have no right to complain. Shut up and take it, biatch.

Who will that be, this Republican POTUS? Rand Paul? Chris Christie? Another Bush? Seems like you idiots don't have a real candidate yet, but you know you'll win. Magical thinking.
Actually anyone the GOP nominates. Or has the last election given you blackouts from drinking too much, No Pee-Pee?

They've got nothing. It's jst a stale talking point.
The lefties claim Bush and Reagan were the worst presidents ever. And justify everything Obama does by pointing to them.

you're wrong as usual -Bush didn't expand Medicare without legislation.

PS- even 1 vote by the other party makes it bi-partisan

I don't support any President abusing executive orders. It's a bad precedent that will hurt our Republic. PERIOD. The first thing the incoming Congress should do is pass legislation that neuters the Executives ability to act unilaterally.

But you have have no right to complain- you support Obama's use of overreaching Executive Orders.

I support following the law and Executive Orders are lawful until overturned, which is also a lawful action.

There will never be another rep in the WH ever again

unless the shit actually hits the fan and we water the tree

Just look at the last elections; Little effort went into keeping any Congress seat either time, but it will be an all out blitz for the WH.

last Pres election was not about one damn important issue, but the press forced useless issues to the front and they will do so again and again until the country is nothing but the name.

next Pres will be a female dem, and the next will be a minority dem, then another woman, then a female minority and so on, forever

It's the fault of the press! Yeah! That's it! Yeah!

Thanks for reminding us what would really happen if conservatives ever got ahold of the government.

Well that's coming, Skippy. This last election should have told you that.

No need...we see it now with you

Hmm. So the Dems were opposed to Medicare Part D? I wonder how they would have voted had a Democrat have been president at the time?
