West Coast homeless crisis

They are "homeless" because they are one or more of the following:

Mentally ill
Alcoholics
Drug addicts

Not according to the article. According to the article they are homeless because the cost of living had so dramatically increaesed

Amid booming economy, homelessness soars on US West Coast

In a booming economy, it is ironic that the West Coast is in an ever increasing homeless crisis.

As the economy gets better, the housing prices go higher.

Why then does it appear to be mostly on the West Coast?
High demand and competition
Just in the West Coast?
Lots of money on the West Coast. More than anywhere else.

So the left coast make up the 1% as they are surrounded by homeless people?

Interesting

The weather is mild so it's not nearly as dangerous to sleep out in the night air, and the left coast has loads of programs that give them things. So, it's a double magnet, good weather, and free stuff.

Because this ASSHOLE state goes out of its way to encourage and pander to it. My disgraceful birth-slimebucket, San Franciscodious already made it legal decades ago to piss and shit in public. And gee whiz, San Diego keeps having outbreaks of Hep-A because of it.

The solution for normal people is to leave the State of California. I left California in 1998 and I never looked back.

It's easier to survive the weather. There is a point in time count that takes place in January or February (convenient as hell). That's when in the coldest states they are hiding out. If possible, many relocate to places like Florida or California during the winters.

Unemployment is a factor. Underemployment is a factor. You can have a job and still not make rent. No one has to pay you what you are worth if that labor can be obtained by hiring undocumented workers for much less. California has about 2.3 million undocumented workers at the same time there is continued offshoring and outsourcing of jobs.

............but you know what California and other states need? Another damn committee to study this shit. Then we can watch everyone's eyes get real big while they contemplate what it all means for a cool 2 minutes before tuning in to the poor victims of Hollywood using sex as a weapon.
