The high school sports team consists of kids who are: Irish, Italian, African American, Dominican, Puerto Rican, Honduran, Salvadoran, Guatemalan, half-Korean, part Native American, Iraqi, and Egyptian. The kids are all aware of their different backgrounds (of course), and give each other shit about it whenever possible, but they don't really care the way the idiots on this forum do. And they are as loyal and supportive of each other as you could ever want (or most would ever believe of tough kids from a tough city). These kids have worked harder together learning, preparing, training, and fighting in their chosen sport than they ever did for anything else in their lives. This is what bonds them, and it far exceeds any idiotic, primitive racial bullshit.

But most supposed adults on this forum can't say two words to each other without shit-flinging and acting like fucking idiots over race.

Back in the day I don't remember division but a lot of ribbing of each other on stereotypes with no hard feelings. Still the same on most construction sites in residential with a mix of cultures. People are more civil in person and after developing a bond see the person beyond the stereotype. And you contribute to it by helping the denial. No matter how much you want to pretend, we cannot go colorblind until the damage caused by racism has been fixed. Calling people racists for pointing out the problems is just not the answer. Sports team have been multi racial for damn near the last 60 years. You are presenting anything new or novel here. You will not fix lung cancer after the cancer hits simply by not smoking cigarettes. You have t go get the damage fixed then smoke no more. But with you, its backwards.
