Well Newsome signed it, it's now official. The MINIMUM wage now to flip burgers is $20.00 an hour in California

CA has a GDP growth of

guess?

1.2%

I think that's lower even than the national GDP growth under Potato

Min. wage in Idaho is 7.25 hr. No-one get that. Fast food is between 11 and 14 hr..rising to 15 after a year or so.

Factory work..of which there is plenty in Twin Falls..starts at around 17...and rapidly climbs to 22--on the average.

But...groceries are 1/3 less than Cali..gas is $2 less a gal. and we have NO homeless. At all.

1 bedroom apt 550-650 a month.

No social services the fed does not mandate. Some of the worst schools in the nation.

A paradise for a retired outdoor type.

Where in our United States Constitution does it provide for the federal government to regulate wages? You might want to read the document.

Further, what is wrong with the content of my meme? Do you disagree? Why?

Sorry but I don't subscribe to the Koch brothers bullshit.

I'm libertarian and I own three businesses, built them all myself.

And I STILL recognize the importance of regulation.

The words are "interstate commerce".

If you're working in a Mickey D's in TN and getting paid out of corporate headquarters in CA, that's interstate commerce.

Sure, there are reasons for regulation.

How many of your employees do you pay minimum wage in your city?

I take good care of my people.

I've even gone back to work myself, so I could keep paying them.

No, there are no minimum wage workers in my operation. My interns get 35 an hour, which is twice what they'd get anywhere else.

As a result, my business prospers and i become successful.

You dont have to be a rocket scientist to put 2 and 2 together.

Those places that treat their workers well never have an issue finding top notch workers. Those places that struggle to find help need look no further than the mirror for the reason.

Why should someone who wants to work for less than the minimum wage be legally prevented from doing so?

THANK YOU for agreeing with me that the minimum wage is a worthless political tool. Few far-left liberals are willing to concede this point.

If you're still here, what is the average household income where one of the workers earns minimum wage?

What opposite result?

McD's goes out of business?

Who cares?
And who is going to employ all of those newly homeless? What effect is that going to have on social program costs? How much is that action going to cost in state, federal and local tax losses? Yup, that would be preferable to working for a living.

It's in the section just after the Constitution gives the government the right to take from others to bail out banks/businesses.

Yep. So let's put a stop to that, rather than use it as an excuse for even more overbearing government.

I'm good with stopping it all but it's not going to happen and I'm not going to cut off those at the bottom for empty promises in no longer providing corporate welfare.

I'm good with stopping it all but it's not going to happen ...
It'll only happen if we demand it. But instead of doing that, you're asking for more.

You're under the delusion that these laws help people at the bottom. On balance, they don't. The people on the edge get fucked. Some people might make a little more, but just as many are pushed into state dependency because they're not allowed to work.

But admit it, this isn't about help anyone. It's about government controlling wages. It's a "foot in the door" for socialists. Nothing more.

Again, I ask, if someone wants to work for less than what you consider "minimal", why should they be legally prevented from doing so?

Reality.

Trump's Road to Socialism | Tho Bishop

When we have a candidate that might actually do something, let me know. Until then I'm going to support those at the bottom.

Minimum wage doesn't support people at the bottom. It's just populist tripe to get their votes.

Again, I ask, if someone wants to work for less than what you consider "minimal", why should they be legally prevented from doing so?

Again, I care less about your arguments. Stop with the corporate welfare and things like this are not needed as much.
