McCain is a foreign policy conservative
During a debate with then-Vice President Al Gore on Oct. 11, 2000, in Winston-Salem, N.C., Bush said: "I don't think our troops ought to be used for what's called nation-building. . . I think our troops ought to be used to fight and win war.

Why is it we can't elect someone with all 3 conservative qualities?
Of the three Romney seems to come the closest...but he's unpredictable...as is McPain who already has a proven track record of being too far left. Ron Paul is looking better all the time...if McPain is nominated I might just vote for RP in protest.
Most zealots don't. But in a way one has to admire their tenacity.Originally Posted by Avatar4321

I'm 100% with Romney,...I just hope he asks Fred Thompson to be his VP if he is nominated?
A vote for Romney... is a vote for Hilary

A vote for Romney is a vote for economic ruin. Nothing will change, not for the better anyway.
Helios, who do you support then? (I have not been in the boards much lately)
Ha. You live in a glass bubble, not to be mean or anything. It's just reality. Ron Paul is absolutely electable, unless of course the mainstream media continues to ruin his reputation completely by ignoring his victories and simple terming him a no-chancer. This is how the election process works. Everyone watches the news, the news tell you what to do, you damn well better do it. Wouldn't want to actually THINK for yourself about what each candidate means for this country. That would be too much work.
I agree, can you imagine if the race is McCain vs Obama or Hillary? The socialists vs the democrats! Conservatives would need to make a 3rd party. What could a conservative possibly like about McCain? That he'll wage more wars? This has been a disaster for the republican party. McCain is against tax cuts. He is for illegal immigration. He knows nothing about economics. McCain is known for his partnerships with democrats like Ted Kennedy and Russ Feingold. He is called a 'maverick' because he's a RINO. The worst thing about McCain is he will lose. He is another Bob Dole. Can you imagine Obama vs McCain? 95% of woman will vote for Obama if this is the case. Romney will be able to garner the female vote, woman are not attracted to an old dinasaur like McCain.

yeah, cause a guy who has been in the private sector all of his life creating jobs, financing businesses, cutting waste, etc. cant possibly run this economy well.
McCain tested on economy
Defends his credibility and experience
By Sasha Issenberg, Globe Staff | January 26, 2008
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - In a race increasingly centered on the economy, Republican candidate John McCain yesterday found himself on the defensive over his credibility on the subject, claiming a career of experience dealing with the issue and unique abilities in "leadership, not management."
Those words were aimed at former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney, a longtime consultant and venture capitalist, who has emphasized his corporate background in recent weeks. For much of last year, Romney downplayed his business experience while trying to appeal to conservative voters largely on social and moral issues.
A Romney ad now airing in Florida highlights his experience in the private sector. "I know how America works, because I spent my life in the real economy," he boasts, in front of the Jacksonville skyline.
"Governor Romney is touting his qualities and his experience and resume as a manager; I am telling the American people - and they know it - that I am a leader," McCain said at a news conference in Fort Lauderdale. McCain was challenged at the news conference over an answer he gave in a debate the previous night when asked by moderator Tim Russert if he had said he was "not well versed on" economic issues.
"Actually, I don't know where you got that quote from," McCain replied.
McCain conceded yesterday that he had made such a remark.
"It was in the context of a conversation on my qualifications to serve: that I am proud of my record as chairman of the commerce committee, of being involved in every single major issue that affects this country," he said.
In fact, on numerous occasions over the course of the campaign, McCain has volunteered that he is unsatisfied with his lack of knowledge about aspects of economics.
"I'm going to be honest: I know a lot less about economics than I do about military and foreign policy issues. I still need to be educated," McCain told the Wall Street Journal in late November.
In December he said, "The issue of economics is not something I've understood as well as I should," as the Globe reported on its "Political Intelligence" blog at the time.
On at least one occasion, McCain has raised the matter himself. On Nov. 10, while traveling through New Hampshire on his Straight Talk Express bus, McCain was asked what he would seek in a vice presidential candidate if nominated.
After mentioning the ability of a potential running mate to replace the president, McCain said, "You also look for people who maybe have talents you don't, or experience or knowledge you don't, as well."
"What are those qualities that you don't - that you wouldn't mind complementing?" asked David Brooks, a columnist for The New York Times.
McCain paused. "Uh, maybe I shouldn't say this, but, somebody who's really well grounded in economics," he said.
"I think I understand the fundamentals, I talk to people all the time on economics - it's obviously a vital part of America's future," McCain continued. "But I know there are some people who have literally immersed themselves on issues of economics, how Congress works on it, the tax code, that sort of thing. I would look for that kind of talent not in a vice president but in close advisers."
"They are complicated," McCain said of economic issues, "and I freely admit I am not an economist."

So who is really behind the media pulling the string? For what pupose? Is it a global agenda? What is the overall agenda for such a power grab?
McCain has about as much knowledge about economy as a gorilla.

I'm glad you ask. The media is owned by big business. That means you see what they want you to see, not what is really happening. Granted, what they present is often a warped and edited version of the truth. Why? For the purpose of making you believe you still have a choice. To make you believe you still have freedom. The elections are thrown, rigged. They are a fraud. And no one really cares. Global agenda? To turn everyone on Earth into hopeless slaves. And anyone who doesn't care, anyone who doesn't pay attention, is already a slave.
