I bet a million bucks the violent crime rate involving the use of an illegal hand gun in the inner cities would drop 99.99% in a year.
Naturally the violent crime rate involving the use of an alternative weapon to a gun won't change a bit.

Okay, so according to the article, gun deaths are down so far this year as the same time as last year in Chiraq. But, needing the Feds to step in?

At least nine people were killed and at least 36 wounded in Chicago over the Easter weekend, prompting a newly formed federal unit to step in to help tackle the city’s pervasive culture of gun violence.

Five of the victims were children between 11 and 15 who were playing in a park next to an elementary school, the Chicago Tribune reports. The youngest had just returned from church and shared Easter dinner with relatives when a car pulled up and opened fire. She was struck by two bullets, one of them puncturing her lung and breaking her collarbone, leaving her in a critical condition.

99.999% of the Blacks who possess an illegal hand gun don't have a clue how to even load one. They buy the gun off the street with a full clip and 'one in the chamber'.
99.999% of them have never fired a gun in their short and getting shorter life.
