US Department of State published a statement on its website about the situations in Darfur. The statement has expressed concern about the Rapid Support Force, the military unit of the Sudanese army.

Between March 15 and 17, the Sudanese Rapid Support Forces (RSF) attacked sixteen villages in North and South Darfur and east Jebel Mara, kidnapping and killing civilians, displacing 15, 000 people, said the statement.

The statement has published false information. The region is monitored by the UNAMID hybrid force in charge of keeping peace in the region.

The statement was triggered by worries about the victories achieved by the Rapid Support Force. It tends to draw the attention of the international community on the Rapid Support Force.

Washington doesn’t supporting seeing the Sudanese army have the upper hand in the region. The statement, therefore, has asked for opening corridors to deliver humanitarian assistance needy citizens and the rebels as well in a bid to turn the balance in the favour of the rebels in the region.

US has issued the biased statement although it knows that the Rapid Support is part of the Sudanese army. Like any army, Sudan has the right to form special force to battle the outlaws.

According to the orders from the General Command, the Rapid Support were advised to avoid indiscriminate shooting and killing of the people. The victories of the Sudanese army will foil US strategy and agenda in the region.
