Sure likes the FENCE that's already there.

The first section is expected to be unveiled soon. Fisher-branded equipment and workers were visible this week preparing the site outside El Paso, within feet of the International Boundary Monument No. 1, placed in 1855 at the beginning of the effort to delineate the Mexican border. The stretch, part of which is on private land owned by a brick company, is the only area in the region without a barrier, in part because it crosses rugged terrain.

A private group has announced the construction of a half-mile wall along a section of the U.S.-Mexico border in New Mexico in what it said was the first in the border debate.Similar to the designs used by the Border Patrol, the 18-foot steel bollard wall seals off a part of the border that had been a striking gap in existing fencing, according to We Build the Wall, the group behind the new section.

Kris Kobach — We Build the Wall Completes First Half Mile in 3 Days from Private Donations

For months the liberal media mocked “We Build the Wall” founder and organizer Brian Kolfage and his plan to use private donations to help build the much-needed security wall between the US and Mexico. Brian raised over $20 million in private donations from over 260,000 individuals to build a border wall on the US southern border.

The section of wall “We Build the Wall” focused on closes a half mile gap that existed for years between the end of the El Paso, Texas border wall and Mount Cristo Rey. The gap is across from the Mexican city of Juarez. Currently, the El Paso Sector is the second busiest sector in terms of family apprehensions/UAC’s this fiscal year. Those categories now make up the majority of Border Patrol apprehensions.

It’s on private property but it’s in a pert of El Paso that sees a lot of illegals and drugs pass through.

My wife is worried that and a sorry ass liberal gets into office of the president, he will demand that the wall be taken down.

A goal is something to reach for, not necessarily attained. By limiting it, then, if indeed some secret rich financiers wanted to contribute a butt load, then they couldn’t necessarily. Keep at it, Golf. Show us how this bothers you so much.

I stated a fact, a fact that none of you can refute...so your choice is to make it personal...how typical of you.

I do not really give a fuck if they put the fence on some guys property, I am the guy that wants to station the military on the border to stop people from coming across...which would be far more effective than a fence on some guys propriety.
Oh, so effective, they just escort them into a van for processing.

No, that is what the BP does as they are law enforcement. That is not the way the military defends a perimeter
The military is not allowed to defend the border.

This federal law limits what US troops deployed at the border can do

And that is beyond stupid.

Maybe this rhread will answer all the unanswered questions from the last few threads on this topic.

I wish I could figure out a way to get other people to pay for a big fence on my property....
