And this is what the leftists and so-called *environmentalists* want for the US.

"Venezuela cannot wake up from its socialist nightmare....

"This was wholly preventable. And I blame socialism.

"Venezuela's previous president, Hugo Chavez, set the stage for the country's destruction by spending Venezuela's oil money on social programs designed to boost his popularity even as he set about wrecking the country's assets, expropriating most valuable private companies, sometimes to turn them into bureaucracies and sometimes to give them to friends, implementing price and retail controls that ensured people wouldn't have access to basic necessities and capital controls that caused inflation to rise, shutting down alternative voices in the media, Putin- and Erdogan-style, and winking at top-to-bottom corruption."

Sound familiar?

Venezuela's socialist hell

And we need to pray for the elimination of our communist media and their leaders and educators.

Oil price tank didn't help.
Must be nice to say things so biased and simplistic.
Any idea why Sweden and Finland are great places to live?

Communists? Wow there's an open mind for you.
Must be nice nothing more dangerous than a man with no doubts.
Who said the more certain, the smaller the brain?

Marxism..Really Leninism.

-Dictatorship controlled political system that controls the means of production...Hates private property, hates private sector and is dumber then dog shit.

Yep, this sounds like South Korea, Japan, Germany, United states, Mexico, Canada, France, Britain, etc. What a dumb ass the op is!!!

Don't you fucking realize that a country is a mixed economy and not socialist(marxist) if it is a mixed economy with a private sector? You don't seem understand the most basics of political science. lol

No wonder you believe that any government regulations and investment is somehow evil. dumb...Poor op.

would you like to expand on that libelous fart, penny, dear?

Look at all the commie pigs come out to play.

Venezuela is their utopia. As is North Korea. They deny it, but those are the countries that fully embrace the commie ideology. State controls all. Nobody works for themselves. Food is distributed, not purchased.

Capitalism failed in Central and South America.

The OP is making a false point.

I'm not sure what can get through these brain deads heads, honest to gawd. No matter what we put in front of these rejects nothing connects.

Those who connect it , end up getting off the insult train ever notice that lol.

Venezuela is ravaged by poor monetary policies. Socialism is just a scapegoat for the ignorant.

You're a liar.
Capitalism isn't what is going on in Venezuela. when they were capitalists, their economy and their people boomed.

So no, I'm telling the truth, and fakey is lying. Again. And a really blatant lie at that.

Socialism IS the poor monetary choice.

It results in starvation, murder, corruption.

It's a failed experiment.

And those who refuse to get it need to be eliminated. They waited too long in Venezuela.

You are lying yet again, koshergrl. You are, because of your crazy head, unable to be constructive and objective.

I never said "Venezuela." I said Central and South America.

"A few years ago, the prestigious economic publication Journal of Economic Literature dubbed the period from 1980-2005 "the age of Milton Friedman." The article described this era of greater reliance on free markets and privatization, which the Nobel laureate economist Friedman advocated, as arguably the period of greatest economic advance for mankind in world history.

"It would be hard to argue against that. As freedom and free markets were on the march, more than 1 billion people worldwide, mostly in China and India, were moved out of poverty. Tens of trillions of dollars of new wealth were created worldwide.

"But the past decade could be described as the comeback of socialism. In response to the financial crisis, nations foolheartedly turned to central governments to steer them out of crisis. Government debt, spending and regulatory activity soared all across Europe and in the United States. The Keynesian model that sees government welfare spending as a "stimulus" came storming back in vogue -- nowhere more so than in the United States.

"Many countries -- Greece, Italy, Spain, Portugal and France, as well as the United States -- experimented with quasi-socialist governments. Now, the bitter price is being paid."

Nationalizing the oil fields and placing them under control of government toadies who couldn't find their collective asses with both hands is more to blame don't you think? They are barely producing oil now and they have larger reserves than Saudi Arabia.
