Taylor Sheridan was on the Joe Rogan podcast and one of the topics that came up was Veganism.....and Taylor Sheridan shredded the whole concept of being a vegan as an ethical stance....

Itl's an attempt to widen the political divide again. The right is trying to own meat eating while attempting to label the left as vegetarians.

We will have to get around to naming all the political divides sometime. This one suggests that they're getting more novel to consider!

That's because veganism is a liberal diet thing, with a lot of virtue signaling.

But veganism is a political movement/group in it's own right. There was nothing wrong with people with eating meat or just eating a plant based diet. You didn't hear from the vegetarians.

Meat eaters didn't start campaigning/protesting that everyone should eat meat, and still never have. We all know who orchestrated the current political problem with people's diet.

The issue is land use and CO2.
That's the political divide that's probably important enough to Americans to kill over, as is abortion and the rest. Can you name them all?

What are the issues that the right know as good, that the left can't understand?

do you realize how stupid it is to argue about animals not using land to live??
today its cows and historically it was bison,, or other herding beasts,,

and the CO2 argument has been debunked for yrs,,

Explain his argument using your own words. If you can't do that you do not understand it.

Yes, millions of acres cleared ever year for crops and animals. If a vegan stops eating plants, I'll stop eating meat. Deal?

CO2 is just more left wing hysteria to stampede people into giving them money, power and control.

Yes, Americans will kill each other over the opposing beliefs.

Humans kill each other over opposing beliefs, and Eurpeans have murdered 15-20 million just last century......don't forget the 25 million murdered Russians, 70 million Chinese, .......... and those doing the murdering were the ones who would believe and push man made global warming...

No, it isn't. It is nothing more than a power grab by leftists.....
Will you kill over it?
They will quite likely try to kill you for your opposing beliefs!

All of these issues, including gun control, will continue to fester until the civil war. There will only be an increasing number of isolated instances as vigilante justice becomes more acceptable.

And less punished!

defending yourself against people that would oppress you is a natural thing to do,,

would you kill us to get your agenda through??

Unless you have some sort of genetic defect and have issues with meat there is no need to be a vegan. We're omnivores. That's why we have claws, eye teeth for tearing meat, why the eyes are in front of our heads to track prey, why our digestive system can handle meat and so on.

Vegans claim taking a moral stance because they make it about themselves. They don't care about morality, they care about feeling as if they are special and moral in the eyes of others. It's all about thinking they are perceived as a good person in order to get a cheap sense of self satisfaction.

If you didn't eat meat only because you feel bad for animals then no one would know because you would just not eat meat and go on with your life.

But most vegans are smug, self centered and self important. That's why they act like activists because ultimately it isn't about the animals, it's about themselves.

Vegetarian diets are likely to be more healthful than diets dependent on animal protein, but one needs to know what one is doing. One gets complete protein by mixing whole grains with beans. There are nine amino acids one needs to get from protein. Whole grains have eight of them, but are short in lysine. Beans have lots of lysine, but they are short in methionine. Whole grains are rich in methionine.

To get complete protein look at the grams of protein in the beans and grains you are combine. The grams of protein in the whole grains should be more than the grams of protein in the beans, but less than twice as much.

Traditional dishes have done this for centuries. Think of beans and rice, or succotash, which is corn and lima beans. Mexican foods combines corn, beans, and rice. Oriental foods often combine tofu - which is made from soy beans - and rice.

Another thing one needs to be aware of if one is going to avoid the consumption of any animal protein is that animal protein is the only food that contains vitamin B 12. Consequently, a strict vegetarian needs to take vitamin B 12 supplements. These can be found in most multi vitamin pills. One can also buy pills that only contain vitamin B 12.

A good introduction to vegetarian eating is Diet for a Small Planet, by Frances Moore Lappe. She contains many tasty recipes for vegetarian eating in her book. Nevertheless, Diet for a Small Planet has two shortcomings. First, it insufficiently emphasizes the need for vitamin B 12 supplements. Second she does not emphasize the advantages of whole grains over white flower and white rice.

A vegetarian diet, if properly carried out, is healthful because it has little or no saturated fat, little or no cholesterol, and it also has lots of fiber in it. Many people find it easier to control their weight with a vegetarian diet. It is also likely likely to be less expensive.
