Vatican opposes UN resolution decriminalizing homosexuality

Countries in the UN don't always follow UN rules for starters. Secondly, if people feel there's hypocrisy they can always leave the church. If enough people leave I'm sure they'll change their ways to keep followers.

As they have almost every century.

You guys don't see the hypocrisy?

"The Holy See takes this occasion to welcome and affirm again its support for all initiatives aimed at defending the inherent and inviolable value of all human life from conception to natural death," (emphasis mine)

But let's ignore that for a second.

The Catholic church is against murder (obviously), yet it still doesn't like it when the death penalty is given out to murderers (like Saddam).

How can that same logic not apply to homosexuals?

I mean hell if we stop giving murderers the death penalty then maybe people can get pressured to not discriminate against murderers.
