So-called red flag laws, like the one enacted in New York state last year, are meant to serve as a stop-gap against criminals or mentally unstable individuals possessing or purchasing firearms.

Citizens can have their guns confiscated if someone close to that individual files for what's called an extreme risk protection and reports that they have threatened to harm themselves or someone else, according to The New York Times.

Reckless Schumer is at it again...remember he is the guy that needlessly called out a small bank in California for bad home loans and unsecured debt that started the 2008 economic collapse...he purposely pulled down a house of cards just before an election where just weeks before he was quietly profiting from that very same house of cards.....
When he called that bank out it got Obama elected and started a market crash and cost innocent hard working people their life's savings and retirement after many years of harder work than Schumer has ever done in his miserable life.....if any public servant needs to be in prison its this scoundrel...the pain he has inflicted because of politics is incalculable.....

I'm all for imposing the Red Flag Laws on Chuckie. He's a danger to himself and people he comes in contact with. The only thing he's slow on is paying for his lunches and dinners when in groups. This guy's got alligator arms. Met him too many times at Stella D' Oro Restaurant on Jericho Turnpike. and he never reached for a bill.
