Rachel Madcow has the headline banner "President gives rambling speech" as Trump speaks at CIA.

All the years of demanding "respect for the office".......*poof* gone

Trump said "we are on the same wavelength", repeating the single sentence at least 3 times

Sounds to me as if he was filling dead air, by using large words like wavelength

That is quite a long word for him. After all the fourth-grade reading level detritus.

Those who followed President Barry's rhetorical career noted many years ago that he "did his best work" with a teleprompter. Truly. People who were watching remotely seldom knew he was reading every word. Take away the training wheels, however, and he stutters, stammers, repeats himself, and seldom says anything worth noting.

It is not easy speaking extemporaneously, and it becomes worse when you have a speaker who will use a hundred words to say what could be said with 5. One can only hope that he conveyed his "thoughts" adequately. Unlike with Barry, the press will not be kind.
