All part of President Trump’s efforts to make government more responsive to the needs of the people.

Secretary Perdue, who knows a bit about agriculture from the civilian side, wants to move The Economic Research Service and Research, Education and Economics branch outside the Beltway, closer to the people they serve, and where the cost of living is lower.

In addition, Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke has plans to move the Bureau of Land Management, the largest land-owning agency in the federal government, out West. A specific location has not yet been picked.

These steps could have a massive impact n future dealings between government agencies and the people they affect.
