This was discussed on a different thread. But if the money spent on Trumps plan ($300 bn, 40 years), was spent on helping Mexico secure there boarders, increase security and help set up economy which could trade freely with US there would be no need for a wall.

Look at Ireland, it joined EU in 1973 by late 1990s was the richest country in Europe... It took less than 20 years..

Want proof, there is a net emergration to Mexico in the last 5-7 years and the main reason is economic.
