Where the wild things are
The UN's aid and development agencies board, in which Israel is a member, discussed the future of its volunteers recently and decided to call on Israelis to join the UNV, Yedioth Ahronoth reported Monday.

Israelis above the age of 25 with an academic degree and at least two years of experience in the fields of health, education and agriculture are invited to submit their applications. The contract is for two years during which the volunteer gets a monthly salary depending on his placement. Some volunteer positions can earn tens of thousands of dollars a year.

The volunteers also enjoy health insurance and in some cases can have their families join them overseas.

The UNV operates in 130 countries, mainly in the Third World: 40% of its activity centers around Africa; 26% in Asia and 15% in Eastern Europe. The program is also active in the Caribbean, Central America and South America. The UN determines the volunteers' placement.

Vat! for free, no Shekels no schmeckles
Remember, Jos, if you ever need anything that was invented in Israel for a medical condition you might have, just pass it by because you don't want to look like a hypocrite using something from your enemy that might help you.

I don't handle stolen goods
Then why are you a Muslim? Your prophet Mohammad was a terrorist theif that invaded lands and looted people's properties. He also raided Caravans during the "holy" month of Rama-DUNG which even the worst thieves back then didn't do. Great man he was indeed, that Mohammed..

I have never called myself a Muslim, that was you

I hope the Israeli's decline the UN's offer.

The last thing the world needs is a bunch of zionist pukes infecting other countries with their terrorist ideology.
From Jerusalem to Nairobi with love

Israel has a long tradition of aid to Kenya. Over the past month, that tradition has reached new levels. As part of an initiative of the Israeli Embassy in Kenya, students at a Jerusalem school have "adopted" a number of orphans from Nairobi's poorest neighborhoods.

The initiative is the brainchild of Dalit Haskel, the wife of Israel's ambassador to Kenya, and the Zalman Aran school in Jerusalem. They decided that the Israeli students needed a stronger education in humanities and international relations, and so initiated an aid operation to help children in Kenya.

The Israeli students responded with tremendous generosity, donating not only used goods, but brand new educational products, dolls, clothes and other toys.

The students from Jerusalem decorated the boxes of donated goods with drawings of Israeli flags and warm wishes for the orphans. Israel's Foreign Ministry transferred the boxes via diplomatic mail to Dalit Haskel, who then personally delivered the donated goods to poor neighborhoods in Nairobi, as well as local hospitals with large children's wards.

The Kenyan children were clearly touched by the gesture, and responded with letters and drawings for their new friends in Jerusalem.
