I think most right to lifers agree with the majority of the Republican platform.

Yes, you can get stupid white people to vote against their own economic interests by appealing to their religious fears.

If you got rid of arguments on abortion, affirmative action, guns, and immigration and made it purely about economics, you'd be asking working-class whites to vote for less pay, fewer rights at work, fewer safety regulations, and fewer consumer protections.

Even the stupidest inbred in Jesusland would realize that was a bad idea.

I saw this was the lead story on Fox, today.

It is not a good sign when your big victory of the night was flipping a county executive position.
It pales in comparison to Ohio, Virginia and Kentucky.
It is a MAGA stategy, when you lose, say you won.

Without admitting your loses you can never fix them. That is Trump's big problem.

I don't vote against my economic interest by voting for Republicans, in fact, quite the opposite. I pay less taxes by living in a Republican state as does everyone else living here. My investments were doing far better under Trump pre-COVID than under Biden. In addition to economics, you can't put aside AA, gun rights, religious freedom nor foreign policy, all of which Democrats are abject failures.

The USA was built on immigrants (and slaves). The majority were not let in to help the immigrant, it was to help the USA. Immigrants provide the work force the US economy requires.
The border is out of control, now. Something has to be done for the US's sake and the immigrants sake,. But the US still needs many of the immigrants to do the jobs US citizens refuse. We all benefit from cheap labor used to produce goods we consume at a lower prices.
Americans start taking the jobs the immigrants are doing it will end of the need for immigrants. Go after the employers of illegals.
Beside the low end jobs, there is great demand for tech workers. There are not enough in the US. People who complain because they have no job, go take a job an immigrant is doing. Some will required education and training.
